I was such a fan of the first launch of the HUDA Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes I couldn’t resist picking up a couple from the new Precious Stones collection!

what is it
The HUDA Beauty Precious Stones Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes are stated to be a “day-to-night color wardrobe” of 9 “highly pigmented, creamy metallic and duochome eye shadows inspired by the rich reflection of gemstones”.
Five shades are released within the Precious Stones launch in Ruby, Sapphire and Amethyst plus the two I purchased – Topaz and Emerald.
This post will focus solely on Topaz.
review
The HUDA Beauty Topaz Precious Stones Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette is a warm mix of golds, bronze, brown and orange tones… and I’m loving it a lot more than I thought I would.
I knew it was the most wearable (to me) and though you can complete a full look with just this palette it’s one that you’d go out of your way to work into your routine on a daily basis.
I’m really shocked Topaz isn’t getting more love. It’s one of those palettes that I think anyone who loves warm tones will gravitate towards plus I found the performance to be right on par (meaning completely fabulous) with the other Obsessions Palettes that I’ve tried.
The mattes applied and blended well for me and the metallic shades looked fantastic wet over a sticky base (I use Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer Creme). Over primers these shades are vibrant and last all day long.

Gorgeous eye look!! I picked up the purple and green but have not tried them yet!! Excited to try now hearing you love yours!!
Thank you! I still have to get that green on my eyes =\ There are so many beautiful eyeshadows out lol I’ve been wearing Natasha Denona Gold quite a bit for every day type of stuff!
I think the Topaz didn’t get as much love because there were so many warm-toned releases from every brand over the last couple years. I bought the Amethyst during the Sephora Rogue sale and will try it this weekend. I liked how they swatched on my arm without primer, especially that I could sheer out some of the metallics (63 year old eyes don’t handle heavy metallics well, lol, but they pop great if sheered out a bit). It’s my first Huda eye purchase, everything else has been too warm for me.
I hear the best things about Amethyst! I’ve been picking up a lot of purples lately or I’d have grabbed that. I did get her Nudes and am excited to try it out!
I can’t wait to try these palettes. I’m super excited about the Emerald one, since I love green shadows and they aren’t as readily available as other colours. Great review! I love the look you created.
Thank you, Sam! I need to get on board with trying out the Emerald…. maybe even a first impressions video with using it. It seems like all of these palettes are either love or hate. None seem to be a consistent love across the board for everyone!
