Hello! My name is Brooke and I’m your friendly neighborhood enabler 😉 Maybe not so much in the same neighborhood, but if you found this blog we undoubtedly enjoy the same, beautiful things in life. Currently I’m based out of Pittsburgh, PA and living with my husband and two young children (who are 11 & 8) as well as a dog – I’m sure you’ve seen them pictured or mentioned at some point. Re-reading that it’s basically me raising 4 kids by myself 😉

I started Blushing Noir nine years ago as a way to connect with people that were passionate about the same things that I am as well as get myself out of a stay-at-home mom type of rut. Not to say that it isn’t wonderful being at home for your kids, but you also need to have something out there that is for you. My son is obsessed with baseball and excels at it while my daughter is currently a part of an award winning Cheerleading team in the area. I also enjoy helping out at their school whenever I can.

In addition to being a mom I’m also a full time blogger/influencer (whatever the kids call it these days)! Though I’m obsessed with makeup, nail polish, hair care and skincare I also love to write about lifestyle and fashion. Basically, anything I see that makes me smile I want to share with my readers!

Makeup, Nail Polish, and beauty in general are my personal obsessions. I collect and collect … then I go through a purging period… and then I collect some more. Sometimes I think… I ONLY need my HG’s! But then some uber fabulous something or another comes out and I’m hooked again. This blog is something I like to use to connect with other people who have the same interests, and also as a place where I can look back and think “Ohhh remember back in 09 when I loved that eye shadow! What was I thinking!” You get the idea!

For reference, I’m NW20-25 in MAC – however I have a neutral coloring.

Rest assured I will always be honest about my experiences with a product. Right now I buy at LEAST 50% of products reviewed on this blog with my own funds. So if it seems like I review a lot of MAC, Chanel, Dior, Le Metier de Beaute… well, those are the brands I love. Of course you’re going to spend your money on things you KNOW you’re going to like. If I buy from even a brand I love, and I don’t like the product, I’ve always said why. I have recently ventured out and tried some new things.. some I have liked, some not so much, but I’ve ALWAYS been honest about it.
