You can get Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat ($29.00) beginning TODAY! Of course when you have such an amazing mom (hey there, full size Naked Heat) you’re going to be an amazing baby and that’s what Naked Petite Heat is to me, an amazing …. baby. Yeah I make no sense… anyway let’s get on with it!
what is it
The Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat Eyeshadow Palette is a small, mirrored, travel-friendly, warm-toned palette with five matte eye shadow shades and one shimmer (which they refer to as a demi-matte but it highlights that inner corner like no other so take that as you will).
The six eyeshadow shades are INHALE (cream demi-matte), VIBRATE (soft nude matte), HOT SPELL (terra-cotta matte), WILD THING (scorched-orange matte), HEIST (rich cayenne matte) and STRIKE (rich reddish-brown matte).
review
I LIVE for these types shades and the fact that it’s an almost entirely matte palette has my heart. When I just crave a basic makeup day I almost always do an entire matte look (except that inner corner because that always needs to pop and wake this tired momma up!). I found that quality of each shade to be fantastic and they lasted all day on my lids without fading or creasing (you need that primer, though!). I was able to achieve multiple looks ranging from wearable to smoky and the shades look really beautiful all layered up!
There are shades in this palette that are very similar to momma Naked Heat. They’re not dupes but they’re close enough that it doesn’t make Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat a necessity unless you’re like me and crave mattes in these tones in a more space-saving palette. Petite Naked Heat is something I see myself reaching for frequently which warrants the buy, but if warm tones aren’t your thing or you are good with what ya got in the OG Naked Heat then you can skip.
If I HAD to chose between Petite and OG I’d honestly opt for the OG, just because it has the mattes and also has those TO DIE FOR metallics (I’m looking at you, Ember). PLUS if you think about pricing the Petite is $29 for 5 shades (aka $5.80 each) and the OG is $54 for 12 shades making it the better deal at $4.50 a shade. The pans in the OG are also a smidge bigger than those in Petite (0.04oz each vs 0.05oz each).
At the end of the day, it’s your call. It’s a great palette, I’ll use the ish out of it and I definitely recommend it. It’s up to you if you feel that you need it in your UD collection! It’s a permanent item, so you have time to think it through!
Someone also asked about a comparison between Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat and the Urban Decay x Kristen Leanne Daydream Eyeshadow Palette. TBH the KL palette is still warm but more neutral and less impactful. I love it to death, but it’s not Petite Heat. You could probably opt for the OG Naked Heat in place of the two smaller palettes and still be happy. Unless you’re me and need to collect them all (I buy all of their palettes even when they’re not sent to me in PR) in which case buy all the things.

Thank you for your review, I was just looking for a comparison of the 3 palettes! I have the big Naked Heat but I want to buy something smaller to fit in my make up bag. Could you please tell me which of the two small palettes (Petit heat or Kristen Leanne) has the most similar shadow to sauced (big Heat palette)?
Brooke says
I just went and swatched the shades together. TBH when swatched on me Subscribe (KL palette) and Hot Spell (Petite Heat) look virtually identical to Heat OG. Subscribe might be just a hair more muted than Sauced and Hot Spell a hair deeper.
For your makeup bag I’d recommend the Kristen Leanne because of the makeup brush being included. The shades are a little more understated but you could use it more on the go to freshen up more palettes. With Petite Heat the colors are more saturated so it’d be more limited for an on-the-go stash.
