If you’ve already seen my post on Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette you know that I’m a total fan of the brands eyeshadow formula. You can read more on the backstory of why I haven’t purchased any eyeshadow shades from Huda Beauty until now (it’s nothing dramatic) and more in that post also. For this post I’m focusing on the review and swatches of the Huda Beauty Warm Brown Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette.
what is it
The Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes are mini-palettes curated by Huda to offer consumers “a complete day-to-night color wardrobe”. Each of the 9 shades in each palette is said to include highly pigmented mattes and striking shimmers with a smooth and blendable texture. The palettes are compact and lightweight yet still include a mirror making them fantastic for travel or to keep in your makeup bag.
Huda Beauty Warm Brown Obsessions contains nine shades total – “eight mattes and one shimmer in heated tones of browns, reds, oranges, and copper, the color range flatters any skin tone and eye color”. Each palette contains 9 x 0.05 oz/ 1.3 g of product.
review
Warm Brown Obsessions is definitely warm (surpriseeeee) but, IMO, way more wearable than any of the other Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes. Because it’s mostly matte and the Huda matte formula is BOMB more people will find the shadows easy to use, blend and manipulate. I found all 9 of the shades to be wonderful and even the center shimmer shade had excellent pigmentation when used dry (though wet is where you want it for that extra metallic oomph).
Of the two palettes I’ve reviewed here so far, Mauve and Warm Brown, I do favor the Mauve. This was surprising to me because it’s not catering to my usual preferences and it’s got way more going on… but I think that’s what I’m loving. Mauve is unlike anything I own whereas the Warm Brown I have the color selection in spades.
The biggest complaint I’ve seen overall about these palettes is the fact that they’re so small. I’m personally okay with the size. It’s a bit of a shock when you first see them but there isn’t a lot of space packaging wise in between the shadows. You’re not going to immediately run out of product if you use them a few times and I think everyone got a little too over-hyped about everything. Comparatively if you look at, say, the Smashbox Photo Matte Eyes Travel Palette which is $25.00 and you’re only getting 0.35oz total of product the Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes aren’t that bad at $27.00 for 0.45oz total. Technically it’s a better deal and you’re getting an extra color option.

Gorgeous eye looks! I just got the Smokey palette and I love the buttery shadows. I like the look of this palette too, but thought it had a lot of similarities to my Viseart Neutral Matte Palette and Too Faced Peach Matte Palette, but at that price, it could very well end up in my stash too. I love the Obsessions palettes for travel or even for a quick look at home

My daughter lives the HUDA beauty range and has asked for some for Christmas. I didn’t know if I could justify spending £54 on a Pallette from Selfridges but reading how good it is from your post I may have to get some for her. You do get what you pay for, I know that but I’d never heard about it till she mentioned it so thank you for this post for the review x

She’ll love it! Spoiler alert but of the 3 I bought the Mauve is my fave. My review of Smokey isn’t up yet and it’s definitely good, but it’s Mauve for me all the way!
