Glam Navy Halo Holiday Eye Makeup Look

Every year on my son’s birthday week it seems like I lack in the posting department. I’ve been pretty active on my Instagram but not so much with the blogging. It’s a lot more involved, ya know? So, today, while I should have been cleaning for his party this weekend I decided I wanted to use the Too Faced Boss Lady Agenda and create a holiday eye look. Complete with lashes – something I also never do. Procrastination at it’s finest.

GET THE LOOK

Every shadow used in this look is from the Too Faced Boss Lady Agenda. They’re not hard to find shades, so if you happen to be looking at this post and the Agenda is sold out you can easily recreate with shades that I’m sure you can find right at home.

1 // Prime the eye with a base of NARS Porto Venere Eye Paint.

2 // Pack Snow Day Eyeshadow all over from lash line up to the brow to set the base then sweep Spiked Cider Eyeshadow just above the crease line as a transition shade.

3 // Take Christmas Carol Eyeshadow and pack it on the inner and outer corners of your lid. Also sweep this shade through the crease and slightly above (you’ll blend later).

4 // Tap on a bit more of the NARS Porto Venere Eye Paint at the center of the lid to make the base area for your halo color. Using a wet, flat brush press Halo Eyeshadow onto the center. Using the same brush from step 3 blend the Christmas Carol shade lightly into Halo.

5 // Using a blending brush sweep Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer (also in the Too Faced Boss Lady Agenda) above your crease. At this point I packed in more Christmas Carol and blended a bit more. It’s all about your preference and how smoky you want it. Blend lightly over that with I Want It All Eyeshadow.

6 // To highlight and blend out the crease a bit dust some of Marshmallowed Eyeshadow on. I also put a bit of Halo Eyeshadow (dry) at the inner corners to brighten things up a bit more.

7 // Next line the eyes with a black liquid liner. I’ve been loving the Too Faced Black Sketch Marker. On the waterline I have Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Gold Metallic Luster Liner. Right underneath the waterline on about 2/3 of the lash line use a navy pencil. My pick was Smashbox French Navy Always Sharp Waterproof Eye Kohl. I pressed some more Christmas Carol Eyeshadow on top of French Navy.

8 // This look was too glam to not lash so I grabbed the Salon Perfect Go Glam Lashes in 625 and topped it with Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara.

9 // Finally I did up my brows using Benefit ka-BROW! in shade 03.

SHOP THE LOOK

I’m not sure but I’m thinking this might have to be my go-to deal for holiday this year. I can’t get enough of a halo eye and it has me comfortable enough to wear navy (which I never thought I looked good in before).
