With every new collection from NARS, we can always expect some sort of amazing eye products. For Fall 2012, we were not let down. In addition to an amazing and beautiful duo eyeshadow, we also see a vibrant and somewhat intimidating Trio Eyeshadow aptly named High Society.
What the NARS website has to say about Trio Eyeshadow:
A trio of harmonious, color combinations of eyeshadow shades. Worn alone or together, all Trio Eyeshadow shades feature micro-fine powders that are highly pigmented, longwearing and crease resistant. Color glides on smoothly, evenly and blends effortlessly.
The three shades of High Society are described as a lavender, matte forest green, and iridescent amethyst.
I was impressed with the blendability of these three shades. They provide a decent amount of pigment and can sheer out. The lavender was a bit powdery, but all were lovely to work with. I was especially impressed with the forest green, which I thought would be dry, and how nicely it applied to the eye. I swatched them above on my arm without the use of a primer.
As usual with NARS‘ powder products, this palette is housed in a sleek black case and includes a mirror. My OCD loves that the shadows live separately to prevent the shades mixing in the pan.
High Society doesn’t look like a trio of shadows that you can wear together. I was pleasantly surprised and ridiculously happy to find out that you CAN.
For this EOTD I started off using a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion. From the trio, I took the lavender shade and applied it all over the lid. Next, with a blending brush, I applied the amethyst shade above the crease and then blended it out a bit more with the lavender. I applied the forest green shade in the outer V. There is also a bit of the amethyst shade under the outer part of the lower lash line. The eye liner used is Chanel Violet Smoke Le Crayon Yeux and the mascara is Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Excess in Night Violet.
For more information, please see the Official Press Release.
NARS Trio Eyeshadow retails for $45.00 and is available now at narscosmetics.com. High Society is limited edition.

I’ve only bought Daphne and for me, it also applied patchy and the color was not as vibrant as in the pan. For the price of a Nars shadow, I expected more…

My fave would be the forest green. But overall these shades are very wearable even for a daytime look. This palette is a must-have for moi.
