Shop MAC, Cook MAC has brought us three extremely wonderful Eye Shadow Quads – Call Me Bubbles, Shop & Drop, and Colour Added.
I was so amazed with the quality of the other two, I had to eventually purchase the third. I’m SO glad I did. Please enjoy, Colour Added!

Colour Added is a bright mix of shades that include Laundry Daze (light yellow, satin), Colour Added (bright yellow, veluxe pearl), Pre-Packaged (muted turquoise, veluxe pearl), and Self-Serve (deep grey, satin).
Laundry Daze is a whitened yellow shadow, and IMO rather frosty for a satin shade. The pigment was excellent and this is a great shade to apply on the eye or to use as a highlighter.
Colour Added is a vibrant yellow with a tinge of lime. It’s my favorite finish (veluxe pearl) which makes for an automatic A+. This isn’t a shade I’d normally reach for, but it pairs up well with the other shades and makes the quad pop.
Pre-Packaged is a blackened teal, also in a veluxe pearl finish. This is a dream shade, gorgeous color…. easy to apply…. my fave shade out of the four.
Self-Serve was kind of a dud for me. I love the shade… it’s like a gun metal grey with flashes of navy… but it was hard to pull pigment from this. It worked well when mixed over top of Pre-Packaged, but I wasn’t a fan of this one alone. For the swatch photo I swatched with my finger over and over then with a 239 brush to even get any color to show you. This would have made an amazing frost or veluxe pearl shade.
Overall, this quad is a different one for me, and one I’m pretty happy with. Other than tweaking Self-Serve into perfection, I have no other changes I’d make. It’s a statement quad, so go for bold!
For this EOTD I began by applying a thin layer of UDPP. Colour Added was placed all over the lid and up through the crease. Pre-Packaged was added to the crease and blended up as well as placed in the outer V area. I used Self-Serve to deepen the outer V and outer crease area. Laundry Daze was used for the inner corners of the eye as well as to blend out the crease and to highlight. The liner is MAC Midnight Snack Fluidline with a bit more of Pre-Packaged added along the bottom lashes. The Mascara is MAC Plushlash.
As I was swatching this quad, the shade Pre-Packaged was giving me flashbacks of one of my favorite shades – MAC Birds & Berries from the Liberty of London Collection!
Birds & Berries is on the left and Pre-Packaged is on the right. B&B is more vintage looking, but they are strikingly similar and both a veluxe pearl finish! If you didn’t get your hands on Birds & Berries, this quad is an excellent chance to own it’s sister shade!
MAC Colour Added retails for $38.00 and can be found at maccosmetics.com, as well as at MAC counters (try Nordstrom) and stores nationwide.

Pre-Packaged is beautiful! but truly the only one i’m instreaded in… I think i’m passing on this quad only bc I wouldnt reach for Pre-Packaged enough due to my eye colour. I did pick up MAC Added Goodness, and I think I now need Midnight Snack. You did a great job swatching this pallett.

Thank you, Brooke! Pre-packaged was the one shade in this quad I was dying to own, but I just couldn’t justify getting the quad for only one color.. After seeing your comparison to Birds and Berries, I can finally let it go and be happy! 😀
