Full coverage and creamy. Unexpected comfort, lightweight, smooth and budge-proof. Kind of sounds like Lady Gaga released some sort of magical unicorn makeup perfection within her beauty brand.
Okay, so it’s not a unicorn. But these are the featured claims of the new Haus Laboratories Le Monster Matte Lip Crayons. In this post we’re going to go over all the things… keep reading!
The Haus Laboratories Le Monster Matte Lip Crayons are available in 12 shades – Dust (nude pink), Talk Dirty (nude mauve), Power Move (soft rose), Fire Me (dirty orange), Miami Tango (red orange), 1950 (pure red), Mastered (cherry red), Greaser (soft fuchsia), Hot Rod (neon pink), Rebel (pink punch), Destroyer (plum berry) and Pusher (burgundy wine). As of the blog post live date all shades are listed as being cruelty free and vegan.
I was fortunate enough to have had the brand send me over 6 of the 12 Haus Laboratories Le Monster Matte Lip Crayon shades to play around with and swatch for you – 1950, Miami Tango, Fire Me, Talk Dirty, Power Move and Hot Rod.
Even though the finish of the Haus Laboratories Le Monster Matte Lip Crayons is matte I didn’t find the formula to be overly drying. It’s certainly that matte feel but in a comfortable way. Once you eat/drink you’ll find the color doesn’t fade much but the formula will begin to feel a bit more dry afterwards. Application was truly pigmented in one swipe and glided on easily.
I don’t personally find them to be transfer-proof however once they set each and every shade lasted very well on me. For me, the colors lasted all day long however the darker shades required a very slight touch up after eating a meal.
Below the Haus Laboratories Le Monster Matte Lip Crayons in shades (from top to bottom) 1950, Miami Tango, Fire Me, Talk Dirty, Power Move and Hot Rod are swatched on bare skin (no primers) in natural lighting (sun mostly out).
I do plan on posting a look using Talk Dirty, likely tomorrow or early next week. I’ll link it once it’s live! I love my nudes so Talk Dirty is the one that has been getting the most use for me. The other one that I’d likely get a lot of use out of is Dust. You all know how I love a nude pink shade. It’s on my permanent wishlist to grab when I come off of my 3 month beauty no-buy.
The Haus Laboratories Le Monster Matte Lip Crayons are available now on AMAZON as well as on the HAUS LABS website where they retail for $18.00 each. Afterpay is available for orders over $35 and there is free shipping on orders $50+.

Funny side note – WHY did I think these were double sided with a liner on one side and the crayon on the other?! LMAO I spend so much time prying off that pointy end before my brain kicked into gear and I went to the website to see WTF was going on. Love these special moments! bahahahahaha
