I MADE THIS. Sorry, I guess I’m just overly, incredibly excited that someone like me who can cook but would rather someone else do it for her (lol) made Honey Glazed Salmon…. and it was amazing.
Okay, I just said I can cook but the title says I can’t. Because that is what I tell people. That I can’t cook. To say I dislike cooking would be putting it mildly. Oddly, I like doing the organizing and prep of cooking but hate actually cooking. I don’t even mind doing the clean up (because, quite honestly, no one does it the way I want it and I’m a particular kind that needs certain things a certain way).
Another thing I hate about cooking is having to buy the meat. What percentages are good? We have to be particular about what they were fed? What’s with today, today? Meat subscription services like ButcherBox take the guess work out of it for me and blessedly make my life that much easier.

In this ButcherBox I got:
- 2 – 10oz Rib Eye Steak
- 2 – 1lb Ground Beef
- 1 – 24 oz Tri Tip
- 1 – 2.25lb Bottom Round Roast
- 1 – 16oz Sirloin Tips
- 1 – 2lb Salmon
The beef was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. I put the tips and roast in the crockpot together (because my kids eat enough for a small army) with a marinade I made from a random mesquite bbq powder I found and doctored up and expected leftovers. LOL. It ALL went. For once my kids ate more of the beef than the potatoes. It was truly the juiciest we’ve ever gotten with meat out of the crock.
The salmon was AMAZING. You could hardly even taste that it was fish. I probably could’ve told my kids it was chicken and they’d have believed me (but of course they saw me cooking it and ran for the hills). For flavor I found this amazing Honey Glazed Salon recipe over on Dinner at the Zoo. Total perfection and my tummy is beyond happy.
