The Urban Decay Naked Cherry Makeup Collection is UD’s answer to the hottest trend of 2018 – those burgundy purple hues that have us ALL drooling.
Naked Cherry, IMO, is like a major extension of the Urban Decay Backtalk Palette with less neutral and more OOMPH (and no blush) – I talk about it more in the YouTube video.

Urban Decay Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette ($49.00). If you’re into “neutral”-to-sultry AF pink-berry tones you’re going to need this in your life.

This beautifully packaged eye shadow palette from Urban Decay features 12 “never-before-picked” neutrals in: Hot Spot (ivory matte), Caution (soft neutral beige matte), Bang Bang (shimmering pink with gold shift and iridescent micro-sparkle), Feelz (soft dusty rose matte), Juicy (soft warm peach), Turn On (pale metallic rose shimmer), Ambitious (metallic rose copper), Bing (deep mauve matte), Devilish (reddish plum matte), Young Love (metallic cranberry), Drunk Dial (deep metallic burgundy), Privacy (deep brownish-plum matte).

I’m a firm fan on ALL of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes (RIP OG Naked… you have to wonder if the shadows themselves are being reformulated and it’ll come back? Or is this the beginning of the end for Naked2 and Naked3 as well? =( I hope not!) and this one is no exception… but I did find I had to work with it a little more than the others in the fam.
The mattes are all stellar when worn. They swatch for sh!+ but apply beautifully to the eye. The metallics are where we’re hitting some temperament (usually it’s the opposite!). When used dry they’re uneven and slightly sheer but can be built to look beautiful. As with any metallic if you want it to shine it’s brightest you’ll want to use it wet and doing so with these metallics will negate the uneven and sheer status into full, glorious, shiny opacity.

In a nut-shell… use those metallics wet unless you’re cool with packing on the colors a few times with a firm brush (aka a MAC 239 or similar).
The shadows wore all day over primer without any transfer or fading. I’m loving the color palette and, of course, the packaging… You know me. 😉
Urban Decay Naked Cherry 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil ($21.00). The UD eye pencil formula is also one of my favorites and I use multiple shades quite frequently in my eye looks and tutorials.
Two new shades in Love Drug (deep wine metallic) and Black Market (rich black satin) are released in this collection and I found the formula of both to be just as fabulous as the others.
This formula wears like iron on my top lid and also wears quite well on my bottom waterline. After a few hours it is faded but for the most part there – (I have watery, sensitive eyes). At the lash line it wears all day. I don’t find that this formula ever migrates into the creases under my eyes or anywhere else for that matter.

Urban Decay Naked Cherry Highlighter & Blush Palette ($34.00). This palette contains 3 cheek shades which
includes one highlighter, a universally-flattering blush and an iridescent complexion topper (no actual shade names are given).
For me, this was the biggest disappointment of the entire collection.
The highlighter is a beautiful champagne shade and I love it for that inner corner highlight. It’s truly a beautiful color and formula. The blush was a little on the dry side and though it looks to be a deep shade I didn’t find it to be very pigmented. My skin tone is on the darker end of being light and it wasn’t showing up on me well without some work.
The iridescent topper is really nothing more than a glitter (though a beautiful one) without being worn wet. I am not the one that wears a highlighter often, let alone wet.
Wear time was good for all three shades but, in all, the Highlighter & Blush Palette is a pass for me.

Urban Decay Naked Cherry Vice Lipstick ($18.00). You might fall over but I love every single one of the three shades released in this collection…. YES even the metallics (I was more shocked than you)!
Cherry (deep berry wine) is a cream shade that applies easily, is pigmented and looks freaking amazing on. This one wore well on me until I ate/drank and then it needed reapplied.
Devlish (berry pink w/ tonal micro-shimmer) and Juicy (light peach pink w/ copper micro-shimmer) are both metallized making them mostly sheer. They apply smoothly and don’t feel gritty at all when worn (though they look rough in the tube and you can feel the glitters as you apply). Wear time is a few hours unless I eat/drink in which case they’re gone. I LOVE to layer these colors together!

Urban Decay Naked Cherry All Nighter Setting Spray ($15.00). If you’re a fan of OG All-Nighter you may want to pick up its mini-sized cherry counterpart!
There is a slight cherry scent as it dries down but TBH that is only noticeable to me as I was testing for the scent (aka I sprayed it on my hand, waited a bit and sniffed). Even so, the scent is very light and pleasant. I did feel that the formula seemed a little more wet than the original but that might just be me.
