what is it

The 2017 NARS Wanted Eyeshadow Palette features 12 shades in an all-new formula! The shadows are a mix of “buttery matte, lustrous satin, and glittering metallic finishes”. NARS states that these are “long-wearing, blendable, and lightweight shades that are crease- and sweat-resistant, while the all-new pure pigment formula delivers the richest, most intense color payoff in just one stroke”.

Biarritz (matte neutral cream), Satisfaction (shimmering golden pink), Delirium (metallic rose), Temptress (satin paprika), Seven Heaven (matte sand), Shadow Hill (matte saddle), Mendoza (shimmering pink copper), Wicked Game (satin cranberry), Shooting Star (sparkling champagne), La La (shimmering deep bronze), Fallen Star (shimmering antique bronze), Coconut Grove (matte deep brown)

In terms of makeup products NARS rarely disappoints me. As I was swatching the Wanted Eyeshadow Palette I was a little nervous… especially when I got to Coconut Grove. A finger swatch revealed next to no color payoff. I scraped off the top layer and was able to achieve decent pigment, but was hoping I’d have better luck on the eye. Because of that it was one of the first shades I used and it was wonderful. Very pigmented and blendable. Whew.

I had zero issues in performance with any of the shades in this palette but I do recommend that you do not put Mendoza at the inner corners of your eye. While it looks beautiful it’s too glittery and I had some glitter migrate into my eye. I wear contacts but it’s unusual for me to have that issue. I don’t know if it was just my bad luck, but I’ll be saving this shade for a pop of shimmer at the center of my lid from now on!

Wear time was a full day (around 12 hours for me before washing off) when used over an eyeshadow primer. If you love beautiful rose gold, pink shades that apply/wear well, you will not want to miss out on picking up this palette!

The NARS Wanted Eyeshadow Palette will be available exclusively online at Sephora on November 27, 2017. The website states that ROUGE VIB members will have first access on November 26, 2017. You’ll also be able to purchase this palette beginning November 29, 207 at NARS Bouqitues and NARSCosmetics.com. This palette is listed as limited edition.

As with last years NARS Loaded Eyeshadow Palette I imagine you’ll be able to purchase this at other retailers later on, but I don’t have any availably on that (yet).
