Almost two months ago I started my makeup no-buy and here we are, pining away for Spring Beauty launches.
While year-to-year my Spring beauty wishlist is by far never as huge as what my Fall, Winter or even Summer beauty wishlists are I do love some Spring products (sorry, any pastels ever, usually not you). Because I’m on the no-buy I want to use these wishlists as a way to look back and remember what I wanted during these 3 months of
torture I mean growth.
What I’m lusting for and potentially maybe should’ve purchased before announcing my no-buy (though that would have ruined day 1, since I only decided on going on a no-buy after I woke up on New Years Day lmao):
Sydney Grace Enduring Love Eyeshadow Palette ($52.00). Sydney Grace eyeshadows have been on my radar since last year but I tend to only really want to buy palettes instead of mess around with trying to figure out what single shades I want to dig into. I’m so jealous I can’t even tell you. Luckily this is a permanent addition to the line so once April 1 hits I can be all over it (PLEASE be in stock lmao).
MAC Glow Play Blush ($30.00). It’s been awhile since I was really lusting on anything MAC, especially this hard. Their recent release of the new Glow Play Blush formula put hearts in my eyes, even bigger ones than we see in the emoji. I have my real eyeballs on Cheeky Devil.
Fenty Beauty Snap Shadows Mix & Match Eyeshadow Palette ($25.00 each). I saw these at the end of December and played with them a bit in person on December 31st. I want them, especially 7 Cadet and 1 True Neutrals. I want them so much. Do I need them? No. I have so many similar shades…. TBH though, this one right here, right off, has been the most difficult for me. I want her new eyeshadow brushes as well but I’d have likely not actually purchased them. Man, I love me some Fenty.
Fenty Beauty Full Frontal Volume Mascara ($24.00). Speaking of Fenty of course they’d come out with a mascara the exact same month I’d start a no-buy. Looks like there are some liners too that I’d definitely want. Ugh.
Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Eyeshadow Palette ($45.00). You see boring, I see a palette that I will get a ton of use out of that is getting great reviews.
Dominique Cosmetics Latte 2 Eyeshadow Palette ($42.00). Oh, my…. Latte has been on my list for awhile, but Latte 2 is Spring/Summer palette goals. Neutral with a pop, yes… but a different pop that I’m here for. Drooling.
Natasha Denona Mini Glam Eyeshadow Palette ($25.00). I adore Natasha Denona and this palette is right up my alley. Again, I definitely have shades exactly like it in my collection but I’d have totally bought it if not for the no-buy.
beautyblender Wave Shadeshifter Makeup Sponge ($20.00). Because LOOK AT IT. It’s so cool. IDC if it’s a gimmick and IDC that I have a stockpile of beautyblenders… I’d have bought this in a heartbeat.
Tatcha The Kissu Lip Mask ($28.00). I just got the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask but even still… without my no-buy I’d have bought the Tatcha. I love every one of their products that I’ve tried and I’m so into lip masks lately. Oof… this was a hard one.
Physician’s Formula Rose All Day Collection ($8.49-$17.49). The Eyeshadow Palette looks beyond beautiful and if you’ve been around here for even a month or two you know that I love me some tinted lip balms and lip crayons. This collection was REALLY hard to not pick up.
Dr. Jart Teetreatment Skincare ($28.00-$32.00). Yup I want the whole line – the Cleansing Foam, the Moisturizer and the Toner. I think the ingredients look great and I’m interested in grabbing this in 3 months when my no-buy is up. I’m looking forward to reading the reviews beforehand. If you buy any of these products please let me know your thoughts!
Can you tell I have a bit of an obsession with buying eyeshadow palettes? PROBABLY.
Did I have any slip ups in this second month like I did in the first month? MAYBE.
Would I have bought all of the items above had I not been on this no-buy? YES, MA’AM.
Of course I could’ve gone on and on and on and on with a wishlist but wanted to focus on the items I’d have ended up splurging on had I not restricted myself.
What Spring Beauty products are you loving? Let me know in the comments below!
(thank you to Sydney Grace for providing a pic of Enduring Love for me to share in this post!)
