I’m such a nail picker! I can’t help it. But it’s better than biting? Maybe? I like to call myself a “reformed biter” but it does seem like I compensate with picking at my polish.
Picking at your polish is NOT GOOD for your nails. Butter London has recently released a polish that helps us pickers still do what we’re going to do anyway but easier…. and in my head if it’s easier it’s got to be doing a lot less damage.

what is it
Butter London Peel-Off Glitter Nail Lacquer is said to be the “groundbreaking glitter lacquer that you can easily peel off without scrubbing away at your nails with harsh acetone and leaving behind stubborn sparkly leftovers”.
how to use
The directions say NOT to use a base coat. Apply one coat and allow it to dry and then add a second coat. It doesn’t mention if a top coat should be worn. I would assume you wouldn’t if you want to easily peel.

review
These nail polishes are really beautiful but very hard to work with. The brush gets a roundness/thickness to it (likely due to being so impacted with glitters) that makes it hard to paint this formula on evenly and precisely. It’s do-able, but it’s awkward and large so you have to be careful.
Some shades have more sheerness to them than others, such as Galaxy and Aura. Even after two coats I still got quite a bit of visible nail whereas with shades like Black Magic, I didn’t have any. I also found that these more sheer shades were a lot more difficult to remove even if I tried them with 3-4 coats.
Each time I removed the polishes I was left with a bit of glitter residue, but even with regular nail polish remover these do come off a lot easier than the usual glitter polishes. If you’re not a fan of the whole “peel off” aspect, at least you know that you can use remover without the headaches.
There is also a noticeable smell to them that I can’t quite put my finger on. It doesn’t stick around after you’re done painting, but it’s worth mentioning in case you’re sensitive.
