The latest, perfect holiday red lip color. It is worth the hype? This week for Makeup Wars we’re talking about hyped up beauty and the products we feel are totally worth the talk. Immediately I thought of all things Fenty Beauty by Rihanna. I can’t think of any makeup line that is currently more hyped and with continuous top-notch releases it’s lived up to that hype in more ways than one. Previously I reviewed a few of the products, but in this post I’m focusing on the most recent release – Fenty Uncensored Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color ($24.00 // Sephora).

Fenty Uncensored Stunna Lip Paint is described as the “perfect universal red”. Uncensored is said to last 12 hours, give a soft-matte finish and be flattering for all skin tones.

Right off that applicator is going to intimidate the heck out of you. DO NOT BE WORRIED. I don’t know how no one has thought of it before, but it’s perfection for applying a lip product, particularly one such as this. I’m not sure if it’s the formula or the applicator or a combo of both but Uncensored goes on completely opaque and completely even. It’s so quick and easy to apply with just ONE dip. You literally just open it up, swipe, swipe, swipe and DONE. The color didn’t feather on my lips and I didn’t even need to clean anything up. In terms of application this product is absolutely low maintenance.

To me the finish is satin and very comfortable. The feeling of it on your lips is weightless. As for staying power I wouldn’t call it “kiss-proof” because it does transfer a tiny bit (not a lot – see below, I posted that to my Instagram story but y’all know how that disappears lol), but the color on your lips doesn’t disappear throughout the day. After eating a big meal you will see it start to slightly dull but there is a lot of color left behind making it so the disappearance is gradual and almost glamorous. The shade is staining so even if your day is long and you find the lip paint has worn down you’ll still have a really good stain behind and your lips won’t ever be left completely bare.
On me the shade is a deep, Christmas-like red – perfect for the holidays. Upon checking out pictures on the Sephora website of people trying out Uncensored for themselves it really does seem to be universally flattering! Which Fenty beauty is really excelling at! The packaging is gorgeous and will look beautiful right on my vanity. I’m excited to wear this to holiday parties!

That red is perfection and I love that it doesn’t crawl up into vertical lip lines. I wonder about the comfort factor, tho.
It’s awesome, even after eating. Sometimes with the matte/satin type lips if I eat the color stays but it gets a lot more dry. This one stays consistent.
