No matter your age you can totally pull off a metallic look on your eyes! It’s a little harder to love an all over metallic look, but you can line your eyes with a metallic shade – and it’s now totally easy and even better…. affordable! The new Maybelline Master Precise Metallic Ink Eyeliner ($8.99 // ULTA Beauty) should be on your shopping list…. like now…. before you’re even done reading this post.
what is it
The Maybelline Master Precise Metallic Ink Eyeliner is said to have high-impact color and up to 24-hr metallic intensity as well as being smudge-proof and waterproof. It is Ophthalmologist & Dermatologist tested, fragrance free and suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. The smart tip brush delivers a precise and even application.
Seven shades are available in 510 Black Comet, 520 Galactic Metal, 530 Cosmic Purple, 540 Violet Nova, 550 Teal Galaxy, 560 Stellar Sand and 570 Solar Gold.
application tips
The brand recommends that you can achieve smooth, even lines by starting at the inner corner of the upper eyelid and moving the brush tip outwards.
Be sure to shake this tube upside down well before applying or there will be little-to-no color payoff.
review
Why do I think you can be older and still be comfortable wearing these liners? Because they actually apply with a metallic look, as opposed to being overly glittery and chunky.
I love the precise, pointed applicator because it truly does make it easy to apply the product and get that perfectly straight line and sharp wing. With the lighter colors I found that I had to do 2-3 layers of product to get full and even opacity but the end result was definitely worth it. They look wet a lot longer than they actually are so you only have to wait around 10 seconds to apply another coat. Once placed on the eye I had no problems with color transfer, migration or fading.
The formula didn’t bother my eyes in the slightest – and my eye balls are known to be very sensitive (and I’m also a contact lens wearer). The shades all held on throughout the day until I used makeup remover in the evening.
Some cons – there is a chemical odor when you twist the product open. It’s not obscene but I did notice it right away. Shade 550 Teal Galaxy is a stainer, which is no surprise, but it’s worth mentioning because I doubt anyone wants to be left with the remnants on their eye ball. It’s also the most gorgeous color and you’ll want to own it. Wear a good primer underneath as well as a shadow (even if it’s a beige one) over top of the primer before you apply the liner to help protect things more.

Thank you! I use the Canon T5i! I had to take a class last year because I had it for a year and still couldn’t figure it out lol I bought a new lens too and that made a huge difference!
These look stunning! I really want to try Solar Gold.
