Why are there so many awesome sauce mascaras coming out this year?! And we’re only 8 days into it! Releasing tonight during the QVC Beauty Segment (at 11 pm) is the IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara ($29.00 $26.36 “featured price” // QVC). You will literally never need fake eye lashes. Ever. Again. Not ever.
Superhero is touted as being…well… everything. The do-it-all. If a mascara had Superhero powers this would be it. No fibers involved. From IT Cosmetics “Our proprietary Elastic Stretch Technology wraps each individual lash in a volume-boosting, lengthening and ultra-conditioning black cape of power and color, for your strongest, longest, thickest and most defined lashes. The super buildable formula puts lash power at your fingertips; simply apply more coats to add volume and length to lashes.”.
The wand isn’t one that looks unusual or new. You’d probably look at the wand and not think that this mascara is anything special… but looks, they can be so deceiving.
I found that this mascara gave fantastical day lashes in just one coat. Two coats gave me considerable length, lift, volume, thickening… Three coats gave me lashes that were looking straight up like I had on falsies. I couldn’t believe how long they looked without the use of fibers. I’ve had fiber mascaras not work this well… no where near this well, in fact. Big bonus time.. it lasts ALL DAY but comes off easily at night. Throughout the day and during application there was no flaking or migration. I wore this even on my lower lashes and still didn’t get any residue! Removal wise I just did the usual…. held a bit of Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover on a cotton pad on top of my closed eye (for about 5 seconds) and swiped it away.
I do need to note that there is one down side (which technically isn’t a downside because it doesn’t personally bother me but I felt it was worth mentioning). You guys have heard me say before that my lashes tend to cross. They cross even without mascara on them. Some mascaras accentuate that more than others. This one doesn’t separate as well as some others, but tbh that generally doesn’t bother me when I get this type of volume. I like dramatic lashes even during the day and the criss-cross doesn’t show up in person like it does with a DSLR camera.
Below (which I posted earlier to Instagram) I’m wearing three coats of IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara on one eye and nothing on the other. I didn’t use a lash curler (though my lashes do have a slight natural curl to them).

I’m so glad to read you have tried Hello Lashes as well. That one is, in fact, my favorite mascara. I actually LOVE the wand on it and find that it does wonders for my lashes. I have ordered this new Superhero mascara, and I really hope I’ll like it. I like most of the products made by IT Cosmetics, and I hope this Superhero mascara takes my lashes to altogether new lengths!! I actually use Hello Lashes together with IT Cosmetic’s Lash Extension mascara already (and the Dior Primer), if that gives you an idea of how much I want L-O-N-G lashes!! LOL!
