Why, yes, I did totally skip posting my Rocksbox in July. This was actually my July box… I just wasn’t blown away… particularly because the piece I’d have liked the most arrived broken. However, as usual, I convinced myself it’s worth showing these pieces because they’re definitely pretty and they’ll suit someone – maybe you! So, if you’re into the service, sign up! This link will give you your first month free (enter code blushingnoirxoxo at checkout)! Can’t lose with free!
What is Rocksbox? First you sign up on the website and become a “Shine Insider” for $19/month. Shipping each way is FREE. Take the style survey and add jewelry items to your wish list. Three pieces of jewelry will then be sent to you based on your style and specific requests. Wear/keep them for as long as you want or return them anytime and get three new pieces sent to you immediately (IME shipping is really fast). You can cancel at any time.
Your $19 gets you unlimited jewelry rental – so say you get three pieces that maybe you’re not so crazy about or maybe you KNOW you love one and dislike the rest. Send whatever you don’t like back and they’ll send you a new set out. You can do this as much as you want all month! For any pieces you keep you can use your Shine Spend/Forever Spend or they can charge your card on file.
What is Shine Spend? Every month you’ll receive $10 in Shine Spend to put towards any of your purchases. So if you have a $20 necklace you want to keep and you use your $10 Shine Spend you’ll pay only $10 out of pocket! Your Shine Spend does not accumulate, so make sure you use that $10!
What is Forever Spend? For every person you refer that signs up for Rocksbox you get a $25 referral credit! Forever Spend will never expire even if you cancel your membership.
When your Rocksbox arrives you’ll get a little note (like below) telling you all about the items that you’ve been sent – name, pricing etc. Everything also comes packed very well, looking beautiful.
In this shipment I got:
From Kendra Scott, Perry Necklace in Magenta Magnesite. I had requested this item on my wishlist, thinking it would up the ante on my “dainty gold necklace” collection. I loved how the gold was lighter than I’m used to with gold, but I thought the stone looked too plastic for me to wear. Like it was my daughters =\ The retail price of this item is $45.00 and the member price is $36.00.
From Slate, Double Point Studs. These were my favorite in this months box but I didn’t keep them because I have a lot of gold studs piling up there and they weren’t unique enough for me to warrant keeping – though I did like the price point! The rhinestones really dressed the earrings up and made them stand out. The retail price of this item is $38.00 and the member price is $30.00.
From Robyn Rhodes, Cedrick Necklace in Grey, Maroon, Clear and Gold. I thought this necklace was the most beautiful out of the trio I received and I was looking forward to wearing it… but it arrived broken. Between the two stones the link had come apart. Easily fixable with pliers, but because it wasn’t actually “mine” I didn’t want to risk messing with it and possibly ruining it just for the sake of the picture. Back it went. The retail price of this item is $98.00 and the member price is $78.00.
Like last month this box didn’t have me jumping up and down. Though it was definitely more “me” in terms of style. I do love that with Rocksbox I can try new jewelry pieces and I can keep the pieces I want at a discounted price. I usually purchase an item on an average of 50% of the time. I’m usually always pleased with the quality and they are pretty spot on matching my style with the jewelry that they send.
