Summer is coming to a close but for some reason it’s NOW that I’m starting into a better eating and exercise regime. I’ll have two kids in school full time this Fall and my excuses have run out. I’ve been using this month to switch up my eating habits (because they’ve definitely fallen to the wayside this Summer) and basically forcing myself to eat breakfast. I love breakfast foods but I’m not a breakfast eater.
Before the first day of school happens and I go full force into a set routine I’m using Balance Bars to kick start my morning. When I went to pick them up at Walmart I was encouraged because they were basically wiped out of them (which tells me they’ve gotta be good, right?!). I was able to salvage a box of Cookie Dough and a box of Peanut Butter bars for myself (but word on the street is that S’mores Bars exist. Those WILL be mine, you guys.).
I’ve been working in one Balance Bar a day, usually for breakfast (I need that easy, grab-and-go thing) but sometimes for an afternoon snack. On days that I manage to forget (mommy brain, totally a thing) I can tell the difference in my energy level. I definitely need something to get me motivated and going in the morning, in addition to that cuppa Joe. These are also going to be fantastic to eat before a workout or to keep in my purse or gym bag for emergencies. Of the two I’ve tried, surprisingly, the Peanut Butter was my fave!
