Talk about an affordable chubby stick! While the new Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint are sheer the NYC CityPROOF Twistable Intense Lip Color are not. This lip crayon is available in 12 shades and I have 8 of them here to swatch for you today in Park Slope Peach, Nolita Neutral, Brooklyn Brown Stone, Parsons Pink, Fulton St Fuchsia, South Ferry Berry, Roosevelt Island Red and Ballroom Blush.
- Park Slope Peach is a peachy nude.
- Nolita Neutral is a light tan.
- Brooklyn Brown Stone is a rosy brown.
- Parsons Pink is a frosty light pink (it makes me think of the 80’s).
- Fulton St Fuchsia is a bright fuchsia.
- South Ferry Berry is a deep, juicy raspberry.
- Roosevelt Island Red is a brick red.
- Ballroom Blush is a blood red with pink tones.
The formula on these lip colors is slick and not sticky in the least. I love that they’re easy to apply and feel light on the lips, making even the deeper shades wearable for Summer. While they have a nice pigment they’re uber shiny so even those that are timid with bold colors will be able to rock shades like Fulton St. Fuchsia and Roosevelt Island Red with ease.
These are touted as giving you amplified color and shine that lasts up to five hours. I maybe had a slight tint going on at the 4 hour mark, but definite reapplication was needed before then. If you eat or drink plan to reapply right after. They smell slightly waxy, but it’s not anything to sound the alarms over.
Overall I love these. The colors are superb and they feel great. Plus, you really cannot beat the price. I’m going to be hunting for more, that’s for sure. The only shade I’m really not down with is Parsons Pink. It’s a little too frosty for me. However I love the name. Tearing me apart, here!
