Eucerin has a new line of products to battle Eczema! My daughter has horrible Eczema, to the point where nothing over the counter works, and the stuff her doctor said would absolutely work made her scream and cry, saying that it burned. We’ve always had to repurchase the prescription, which clears it up immediately, and we have to keep applying so it doesn’t come back. That’s all well and good, but the tubes aren’t that big and prescriptions aren’t cheap.
When I heard about the new products from Eucerin I definitely wanted to give them a go and see if it would help keep her Eczema at bay instead of constantly needing to be preventative and reapply the prescription.
The Original Healing Soothing Repair Lotion was wonderful for a quick day time moisturizing session, but the products that really kick Eczema butt are the Eczema Relief Body Cream, Eczema Relief Instant Therapy Cream.
We applied Eczema Relief Body Cream ($11.99) after bath every night and keep the Eczema Relief Instant Therapy Cream ($7.99) on hand for those times when it’s super dry (after all, it is the season for colder weather to begin!) and we need to get a bit of quick relief to patches. This helps prevent a horrible, itchy flare-up that would require the use of her prescription. These products have been working extremely well for us and it’s been heavenly sleeping through the night without being woken up to reapply the prescription to new spots.
What do you use to soothe Eczema or irritated skin?

Can you say which is the thickest/most emollient of these products? Lately, the eczema on my eyelids is flaring horribly and the only thing they will tolerate is Aquaphor. I wouldn’t mind adding a bit of actual healing to the mix. The derm has been useless.

The Cream is the thickest but please be sure you don’t get any in your eyes and double check to make sure it’s safe to use there. Eczema is the worst =( good luck!
