The OPI Holland Nail Polish Collection is a superb pairing of smooth creams and subtle shimmers.
(Top L-R: Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh, Pedal Faster Suzi!, Gouda Gouda Two Shoes, Kiss Me On My Tulips, Dutchya Just Love OPI?, Vampsterdam; Bottom L-R: Thanks A Windmillion, I Don’t Give A Rotterdam!, I Have A Herring Problem, Wooden Shoe Like To Know, A Roll In The Hague, Red Lights Ahead… Where?)
Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh? is a boney beige grey cream. This one applied smoothly, but is a trickster. I thought I had full coverage in 2 coats, but after photos I decided to add one more for full opacity. If you don’t mind a little bit of visible nail line, 2 will suffice. The photo above is taken with the flash, and does yellow out the color some. The photo below was outdoors and even though it’s dank weather it shows off the true shade more.
I’m also cracking up right now, because this polish is straight up the same color as the siding on my house haha we all have one, right?! Please tell me I’m not alone here!
(Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh shown above outdoors, crappy weather, no flash)
Gouda Gouda Two Shoes
Gouda Gouda Two Shoes is a beautiful creamy salmon rose shade with very subtle golden shimmer. This shade is classy and fun, while still remaining work safe. I used three coats for the photo.
Thanks A Windmillion
Thanks A Windmillion is a lovely seafoam green cream. You may have something similar in your stash, but if not, this is a good polish that covered well and easily in 3 coats.
Pedal Faster Suzi!
Pedal Faster Suzi! is a girlie pink with silver shimmers. It was pretty hard to catch the silver shimmer accurately, so I took a shot in full flash, and one outdoors in some overcast sun. I had to use three coats for this one.
A Roll In The Hague
A Roll In The Hague is a screaming bright orange cream. I’m talkin’ construction orange. Bold and vibrant, a perfect shade for a hot day. The formula is thick but easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photo but one would have been ok. Also, its going to seem like it’s not laying well, but as it dries it evens out. It dries on the nails a shade darker than what it is in the bottle.
Vampsterdam
Vampsterdam is a really deep purple frost with multicolored shimmers throughout. I didn’t like this one based off of looking at the bottle, but on the nail it’s a nice twist on a vampy shade. The macro swatch seems to be showing like it’s streaky, but it’s really not noticeable in person. I needed three coats for full opacity.
Kiss Me On My Tulips
Kiss Me On My Tulips is a hot fuchsia cream. This one applied SO nicely and only needed 2 coats. It’s likely you have something similar in your stash, but if not, this is a great addition. I always use a cream hot pink on my toes for the summer time 😉
Dutchya Just Love OPI?
Dutchya Just Love OPI? has a purple base with loads of golden and red shimmers. I only needed two coats with this one.
Wooden Shoe Like To Know?
Wooden Shoe Like To Know? has a cocoa base with golden and red shimmers. One of my personal faves from this collection, it’s gorgeous to look at in any lighting. I used 3 coats for the photo.
I Don’t Give A Rotterdam!
I Don’t Give A Rotterdam! is a periwinkle blue with silver shimmer. I used three coats for full opacity.
I Have A Herring Problem
I Have A Herring Problem is a blue polish with gold and silver shimmer. It’s pretty similar to I Don’t Give A Rotterdam, except for the noticeable gold shimmer and a darker, more true blue base. I used three coats for the photo.
Red Lights Ahead…Where?
Red Lights Ahead…Where? is a neon reddened coral cream. I am in love with this color. Rarely am I able to do a full mani on myself between swatching and racing after kids/doing housework, but I made a special exception for this one at 9pm last night. YAY for Seche Vite!
Overall, I thought this was a solid collection with a lot of different shades, some safe and some fun. My personal MUST haves are Red Lights Ahead…Where?, A Roll In The Hague (this is the must have color for the season!), Wooden Shoe Like To Know, I Have A Herring Problem.
Nice to haves are Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh (basically because it matches my house lol), Gouda Gouda Two Shoes, Vampsterdam (the most awesomest of names and a beautiful color, if it were a bit more unique it would be a must have!), Dutchya Just Love OPI, I Don’t Give A Rotterdam.
You would be okay to pass on Thanks A Windmillion, Pedal Faster Suzi!, Kiss Me On My Tulips. Though beautiful, they’re not real unique colors, and you may have it already!
Also, if some of these look familiar, you may be thinking of the Zoya True Collection. OPI Thanks A Windmillion is similar, though not spot on to Zoya Bevin. OPI Dutchya Just Love OPI is a ringer for Zoya Tru. OPI Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh is similar to Zoya Farah.

I solely want all these colors for the epic names given to them.

The colours are nice, but you’re not very good at painting your nails…

ooooo I like your swatches!!! These have helped me make up my mind about which ones I want! Herring is so much prettier in your swatches than some others I’ve seen. I am now poised with my CC whenever they get to my city.

thank you! Ulta seems to get these things out on Sunday, I would call Saturday night right before close and ask if they’re setting them up 😉

I love the first one and the orange one! I’m 25% Dutch so I need at least one! <3

That was EXACTLY what I was thinking about! Some shades bear real similarities to Zoya True, or maybe these are just “the” colors this season. I’m wearing China Glaze Let’s Groove on my nails at the moment, and it looks kinda similar to Vampsterdam (maybe less red-based).
