I feel like it’s been ages since I shared an OPI Nail Polish Collection on my blog! Even though I’ve never been to California the OPI California Dreaming Collection had me inspired, so much so I even did a little nail art for ya! 😉 12 new nail polish shades are now available, with colors inspired by California’s majestic sunsets and diverse landscapes.
“I always draw inspiration from fashion, food and travel, and California’s unique mix of cultures, cuisines and landscapes serves as a constant source of creativity,” remarks OPI co-founder and brand ambassador, Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “From San Diego to San Francisco, the state is filled with breathtaking vistas; from active adventurers wearing yoga pants to Hollywood stars in sequins, California fashion is completely unique. And when it comes to food, there’s something for everyone! The California Dreaming Collection offers a flexible palette ranging from berry to nude, with gold and black hues ideal for nail art and two-tone looks – providing wearers with a taste of the beauty found in ‘The Golden State.’”
All swatches are done using OPI Nail Envy for Sensitive & Peeling Nails as a base coat, 2 coats of nail polish and Salon Perfect Top Coat.

Of quartz not! Everyone appreciates this shimmering slate.

This cotton candy pink has a very persuasive vibe.

To the Mouse House We Go!
This magic red is for kissable lips, polka dot bows and tempting apples.
Below is a bit of “accent nail” art on my ring finger. For this I simply put down a base of OPI Feeling Frisco and then used a large dotting tool to apply a strip of OPI Sweet Carmel Sunday. With a smaller dotting tool I added dots of OPI Me, Myself and I.
My favorite shades from this collection are Excuse Me, Big Sur!, GPS I Love You, Malibu Pier Pressure, Me Myselfie and I, Santa Monica Beach Peach, This is Not Whine Country, Time for a Napa, and To the Mouse House We Go. Basically most of them are the shades of my life. What are your faves?
The OPI California Dreaming collection is available in both classic Nail Lacquer and Long-Wear Infinite Shine formulas. Nail Lacquers retail for $10.00 ($13.50 CAN) each and Infinite Shine retails for $12.50 ($16.95 CAN) at ULTA Beauty, Macy’s, Professional Salons and Sally Beauty.
