I got my second Trunk from Trunk Club already! I told you guys I was obsessed! This trunk wasn’t as major of a hit for me as my last trunk but I did keep several items.
Since this is my second Trunk Club post I won’t bore you with the details (you can go to my first post for that) but know that Trunk Club is an at-home fashion styling service affiliate with Nordstrom. They send you a “trunk” of items to try on whereafter you keep what you like and then send back the rest. Shipping is FREE and UPS will even pick up the package right at your house.
my second trunk
The Items I Kept
Madewell Whisper Cotton V Neck Pocket Tee ($19.50). It’s in a new color and you know I love this top!!! I have it now in black, white, grey, navy and now green!
Lush Ivory Cross Front Blouse ($45.oo). I probably never would’ve looked twice at this in store but when I put it on it was so flattering and beautiful. The sleeves are a little long but they don’t get in the way the neckline is perfection.
The Items I Sent Back
Tory Burch Miller Flip Flop ($195.00). I actually almost kept these. I wasn’t crazy about the Sand color but they fit a lot nicer than expected. They’re pricey for me for a sandal but I checked on Shopbop (where I have a gift card) and ended up ordering from there. Which definitely isn’t the point of Trunk Club, but gotta save $$$ where I can!
Treasure&Bond Cozy Pullover Hoodie ($69.00). The shade says it’s pink but it’s very hard to tell in person, so I liked it better than I did when I saw the picture. The cut on this was nice and it fit well. I think if it were any other season I’d have kept it because it felt AMAZING on. So soft!
Chelsea28 Ruffle Off the Shoulder Top ($79.00). I LOVED this. Until I put my arms up. It’s got that elastic neck line that the minute you move your arms begins to ride up. The back had this center slit detail that was gorgeous. BUT, it was WAY too high maintenance for me.
Marc Fisher LTD Wyndi Slide Sandal ($119.95). These were just…. ugly. I almost declined them before the trunk was sent out but I thought… what the heck… I might love them and I need some color in my life. No. These made me think of grandmas house slippers.
Free People I’ll Be Around Cardigan ($96.00). I love Free people and I loved the look of this cardigan. It’s usually exactly what I go for. I was sent the size Large and though the cardigan is meant to be oversized it is HUGE on me.
Lush Henley ($39.00). The color was beautiful and it fit nicely but it just didn’t look okay in the boob area. It was bizarre. Plus the material is easily wrinkled. Like the more you look at it the more it’ll wrinkle. That easy. Way too high-maintenance for me.
Louise et Cie Citrona Sandal ($109.95). I got these in my last trunk and since they were big my stylist sent along another size to try. They still didn’t fit quite right so I think it’s safe to say this one won’t be working out for me.
Lush Keyhole Tank ($35.00). I loved the look of this red paisley tank but it was too tight in the chest area. I never thought I’d ever say that. Ever. LOL Pretty to look at, just a bad fit for me.
I tried a few things on and uploaded to my Instagram stories (screenshots below… ignore the mess I was in my daughters room lmao):
final thoughts
Though this wasn’t as good as a trunk as last time (I mean… you can’t beat FINALLY finding the shorts and jeans of your dreams, right?!) I’m obsessed with that cross-front top and obviously love those Madewell t-shirts. We’re planning on hitting up the beach this Summer so I’m hoping to grab a few more items before then.
This is an ingenious online shopping option!

I shop mostly online so this would be a good option for me. I like that it’s so easy to return.
Same! I purchased a few items from Trunks that I wouldn’t have even tried on in person or even shopping on the site myself. My stylist knows me better than I do at this rate lmao
i’m one of those old school types who loves to shop in the store and find things on my own. I love shopping at Nordstrom and the Rack. It’s a smart idea for them to do this, just not for me.

I never try on in store =( Too stressful. Maybe once my kids are out of the house and I have more me time!
UUUUUUGH why can’t this be in Canada?!?!?
It seriously needs to be everywhere, it’s an awesome service!
