No one likes to have dry, dead skin on their face and just because Winter is (thankfully) far behind us doesn’t mean we can slack on exfoliation. My skin is oily, rather sensitive and acne-prone. Because of that I don’t like any skincare that is too abrasive and I tend to stick to things that I can sort-of feel yet still get the job done.
PÜR Cosmetics Joystick Exfoliating Deep-Pore Cleanser. This is a lazy girl fave of mine because it’s a cleanser, exfoliator and toner all in one! All you do is roll it on! It’s specifically formulated for acne-prone skin and it feels AMAZING when you apply.
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. Amazing to use in the shower to slough off all the dead skin without feeling a thing! There is also a new one available called the Daily Superfoliant that includes charcoal in the ingredients. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s sounding just as amazing as the original!
Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub with Dead Sea Salt. For when you really need to get at the dead skin cells but still require a gentle and effective product. This one will actually work for all skin types and doesn’t leave you with a dry feeling after you use it.
Paula’s Choice SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. It’s so gentle and non-abrasive that you can use it up to twice daily. Plus, it’s quick and easy since you put it on after cleansing and don’t need to rinse! (original review)
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate® Gentle Exfoliating Treatment. This one is the most abrasive on the list so I only bust it out once in awhile. I love how my skin looks and feels afterwards so it’s an absolute necessity to work in to my routine!
Yes to Tomatoes Daily Pore Scrub. I use this one in the shower and though you can feel it more-so than a lot of the other ones I listed it’s not abrasive at all and leaves my skin feeling good after use. It’s also targeted toward acne-prone skin.
Also, at the end of the day, I love to use my Clarisonic Mia Fit. It’s absolutely an investment but it’s one of the best ones that you can make in terms of skincare. When I get lazy and don’t use it I notice that my skin doesn’t look as good and there is more texture.
