The BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection continues on with brand new products that are now available (some for a limited time) at Sephora! If you need to catch up on the other items that have released previously, check out the full review here.
Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector® Mineral Blush Duo ($38.00 // Sephora). The Splits are cheek colors paired with highlight shades from the BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection. The good news is if you missed out on the Face Palette then you can pick and choose the shades you’d want here. Even better news – the formula of the cheek products in the Champagne Splits is much better than the formula of the products in the Face Palette. (I mentioned on Snapchat that I thought BECCA had changed formulas and that it was addressed somewhere and I can’t for the life of me find it!).
Why is the packaging so gorgeous? The contrast of the silver and gold on the compact is stunning and the inside is that much better.
I was sent the Prosecco Pop/Amaretto duo (medium warm gold/matte toasted almond) and the shades are a little different than they were in the Face Palette, particularly for Amaretto. In the split pan compact Amaretto is lighter and a little warmer. Both products are much less dry and apply more smoothly than the two shades did in the Face Palette. I did love them in the Face Palette, but now that I’m swatching them in the new formula it’s really making me fall out of love with the Face Palette =( If you recall I thought that Champagne Pop in the Face Palette was much more dry than in the single and showed swatches on my social media – based off of my time with this duo and swatching the others in store it looks like it’s that way with all of the shades.
Below is a pic from my Instagram where I’ve swatched the Prosecco Pop/Amaretto Champagne Splits as well as my singles of Champagne Pop and Flowerchild Mineral Blush ($32.00 // Sephora) – these two are also a duo. All of the Champagne Splits are limited edition.
Shimmering Skin Perfector® Slimlight ($28.00 // Sephora). You guys know I loveeeee to buy me the Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured and use them as bases for eyeshadow looks. This is basically the same deal for me, only in stick form. The Slimlights are meant to be highlighting sticks for all the places you want to highlight, but they’re pretty all over the eyelid, too 😉 As with the Poured, if you’re oily like me, you’ll need to apply a regular eyeshadow base first or these will crease immediately.
I found the formula to be creamy and easy to blend. I was sent the shade Pearl (soft luminescent white) to review and liked it so much I went to Sephora and purchased Champagne Pop (soft white gold with pinky peach undertones) and Topaz (golden bronze pearl)!

The swatches below are ones that I took with my camera so the quality is a little better. The swatches are done dry and on bare skin (no primers):

I have the face palette so I definitely don’t need one of the splits, but those sticks look AMAZING! x

The Slimlights are a lot more user friendly than just the Poured Cream, especially if you use them on your eyelids like I do!

I was totally going to skip these until I saw your post! I do own the JH face palette but I think I may need to get the amaretto duo. It looks stunning.
