The newest mini-collection to hit Chanel.com is the Bombay Express de Chanel Collection. It’s only 7 items deep with 4 of those being Limited Edition. I picked up 3 of the LE products, steering clear of the highlighter. It’s pretty to look at, but I don’t use highlighters that often and I don’t know if I’d do anything with that one other than stare at it for hours… maybe days. 2012 never looked so good.
Previously I showed you Empreinte Rouge Coco Shine, and of course I loved it, but Brume d’Or Joues Contraste Powder Blush in on a whole other level.
What the Chanel website has to say about Brume d’Or Joues Contraste Powder Blush:
This beautifully sunny earth tone awakens cheeks with an elegant glow. Part of the limited-edition BOMBAY EXPRESS DE CHANEL Collection.
Brume d’Or is a bronze with a hit of peach. It has a bit of shimmer (which shows up more on the swatch than on the cheek) but comes off as mostly matte. It’s matte, but with extra dimension 😉 This is a great shade to use a contour or as a blush. Definitely HG material!
The pigment is there, but it will apply and blend out to your liking. Below I dabbed my brush in and applied twice to get the perfect amount of color. This was for day, so I might add a bit more for evening.
This blush does boast some decent staying power. You all know how hot it’s been. I applied this around 9am and almost 12 hours later it still looked great.
Chanel Brume d’Or Joues Contraste Powder Blush retails for $43.00 and is available at Chanel.com for a limited time.
