Forever the red lip lover I’m always on the look out for shades of red that I can wear at different yet every occasion. I have my fave vampy reds, matte reds, etc… but how about a glossy red that isn’t sticky? Something perfect for Summer and looking fabulous poolside or laying on the beach (which doesn’t happen for me nearly enough lol).
Lipstick Queen has a line of Glossy Pencil‘s that are easy to use and a simple to toss in your beach bag for a portable lip color that allows for easy touch ups. There are several shades to choose from (upon searching I found five) but the red, Thriller, is the one that calls out to me.
What Rescue Rittenhouse Spa has to say about Lipstick Queen Thriller Chinatown Glossy Pencil:
Description
“A sheer scarlet red.”
Inspired by New York City’s Chinatown and Roman Polanski’s movie by the same name. A kooky collection of brightly colored, super sheer “draw on” glosses. This jumbo-sized glossy pencil comes with a jumbo-sized sharpener.
(layered heavily, swiped once)
Thriller is a sheer and juicy pinky red. This pencil has more of a gloss feel without the stick and feels heavenly on. There is just enough red that it didn’t turn fuchsia on my lips, like most “red” gloss pencils do for me.
The Glossy Pencil glides so easily on that you can apply it quickly and on the go. Your pucker never looked so utterly salacious!
Application tip: Keep the application perfect by using the included pencil sharpener when the tip gets too dulled!
You can purchase Lipstick Queen Thriller Chinatown Glossy Pencil for $24.00 at Rescue Rittenhouse Spa, beauty.com, or at Barneys.

This looks so cool! I’m very partial to sheer reds like this 🙂 How well does it hold up? Does it stain or not?

a very very very light stain. It basically stains down to about the color of my lips lol but I could see some staining on my arm after swatching. I had to use actual makeup remover and not just the remover wipes I get at Big Lots haha
