Some of you may have looked at one of the eye liners released with the Summertime de Chanel Collection for Summer 2012 and thought… what?! It’s a nude?!
Peche Cuivre 75 Le Crayon Kohl Eye Pencil is a hidden gem. It’s a peach liner, sure, but with flashes of gold and copper. You do have to layer to get more pigment, but the formula is so smooth that it’s easy and won’t skip or drag on the eye.
This liner can also be used as a base for making shadows pop, but since it’s a kohl (which are prone to migration on some) I recommend using a secondary base underneath. The Chanel Le Crayon Kohl are one of my favorite liners, I am thrilled with the addition of Peche Cuivre and how it adds a touch of Summer to the eye.
(L-R: swatched once lightly, swatched heavily in a line, a thick swatch to show off the color. Click to enlarge)
In the eye looks below I just have on Peche Cuivre by itself (over a coat of UDPP) to show you the color on the eye. I do have an eye look planned for this coming week using this kohl, so you’ll be able to see more of what it can do then.
Chanel Le Crayon Kohl Eye Pencils retail for $28.00. Peche Cuivre is limited edition and can be purchased at your local Chanel counter or online at Chanel.com.
