NARS NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette Swatches + Review

March 2, 2016

All of NARS’ cheekiest in one place - I’m talking current shades AND exclusive shades! The NARS NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette ($65.00 // Sephora) is a limited edition cheek palette that is exclusive to Sephora and carries a value of $165.00.

The packaging isn’t standard for NARS but it’s still glamorous in all of it’s mirrored glory. You can literally look at yourself as you pick it up and then also when you open it to choose your shades. It’s quintessentially narcissist! The mirrored packaging will still show off all of your fingerprints, but at least you can look at yourself doing it 100% of the time - which is what all narcissits/NARSissists must do.

Inside the NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette you’ll get two contour blushes in Paloma I (pink beige) and Paloma II (deep rose) along with Laguna Bronzing Powder (diffused brown powder with golden shimmer) and four blushes in Icy Lilac, Sausalito Sunset, Shimmering Rose Peach and Fleshy Pink.

The selection of shades available in this palette are wonderful in terms of diversity… they’re not all peachy or all pinky… you’re getting some highlight colors, some pinks, mauve, nude… it’s covering all of the bases which makes it perfect to take with you on a trip. It’s an all-in-one of cheek color which will save on space as well as application time. The shade range in NARSissist Cheek Studio is broad enough to work for all skin tones, which is nice to see in a palette at this price point.

I thought the formula on the shades was consistent with what I’m used to with the full sized NARS blushes, which I’m generally a fan of. Sausalito is definitely sparkly when you swatch it but don’t expect it to appear as disco ball-like on your cheeks. Icy Lilac is, as you can imagine, on the frosty side so definitely don’t go hard at your cheeks - particularly if you’re like me and have large pores.

Below the shades are swatched dry with no primers underneath:

What do you think of the NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette? Must have?

Although I prefer a contour stick, I love the blushes in this very pretty palette!

It’s frosty =( I could wear it but just lightly and I mixed it with Paloma I for a highlight.
