If you love a matte lip the latest permanent lipstick launches from MAC are going to make your year! The Matte Lip Collection features hues with a classic suede-like finish in 12 new shades of Matte and Retro Matte Lipstick ($16.00 // Nordstrom).
Of the 12 shades released I have three here to share with you today in Kinda Sexy (neutral pinky-rose), Persistence (peachy cinnamon) and Please Me (muted-rosy-tinted pink).
MAC lipsticks have always been among my favorites throughout all of makeup land and these new mattes are no exception. They have amazing color and pigmentation with a staying power of around 4 hours (unless you eat or drink, in which case you’ll need to reapply.. but you knew that because life). On all three of these the formula is creamy, easy to apply and opaque in one swipe.
Kinda Sexy is the perfect neutral where Please Me looks fantastical with the color I got to my skin while I was out in Vegas. That same color made Persistence appear a little washed out but when paired with a neutral-pink liner and a pinky gloss (completely nixing the matte, but oh well, it’s pretty) it’s perfect once again!
