I don’t know if there’s ever been a nail polish top coat that I’ve been this crazy over. This Spring OPI is releasing four polishes to fun up your dull white mani – the OPI Sheer Tints Nail Polish Collection.
These four “top coats” are perfect to change up your nail look by adding a tint of color. Let’s see what fun we can have with I’m Never Amberrassed, Don’t Violet Me Down, Be Magentale With Me and I Can Teal You Like Me.
Now here they are over a white nail polish – in the case of this blog post, all OPI Sheer Tints swatches and nail art are done over Nicole by OPI Yoga-Then-Yogurt.
These seem to have a thick formula, but do paint on easily. At first it’ll look uneven or streaky but as the polish dries down the discoloration smooths out. As you pull the brush away from your nail there are very find strings that will trail along. I don’t know why or what they are, but I do know they won’t ruin you mani, so rest easy 😉
I’m seeing this watercolor type nail art quite a bit with the Sheer Tints, but I personally saw it first over on Cosmetic Sanctuary, which was the blogger that inspired me to give it a try!
I used the Sheer Tints over Nicole by OPI Yoga-Then-Yogurt and while it worked okay it made me realize I NEED an awesome white one coat polish for this. Therefore I just ordered Cult Nails Tempest! I’ll let you know how that works out =D
This mani is so festive and is totally making me ready for Easter, which is still well over a month away! How would you wear the Sheer Tints?
