I’ve been buying up A LOT of Maybelline lately. By a lot I mean the haul that you’re going to be checking out in this post is only half of what I’ve picked up from this brand in the last month. They’ve just had so many new, interesting and pretty releases and also I’m hearing about products that have been around awhile that are apparently awesome for Summer shine (more on that in another post).

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette Spring 2015

In this post we’re going to be talking about the semi-new Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette ($9.99 // ULTA Beauty) as well as the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara ($8.99 // ULTA Beauty) and also the two Maybelline Color Tattoos ($6.99 // ULTA Beauty) that released for Spring 2015 which are Rose Riot and Hibiscus Heartbreak (I believe these were LE and likely no longer available. The closest shade is probably Inked in Pink which is part of the Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal line).

The Maybelline Color Tattoos are my favorite drugstore eye shadow base (but duh you knew that) because they don’t crease at all and they hold the shadow look all day long. These two shades, Rose Riot (left) and Hibiscus Kiss (right) are swatched below dry, with no primer underneath.

The Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara is one people have been loving lately and I really liked it too! You can see how it wore on me in the look I posted below but I thought it gave wonderful lift and volume (I did NOT use an eye lash curler for the photos) but I did notice my lashes stuck together a bit. However, my lashes tend to do that all the dang time. Some mascaras accentuate that more than others, this one was about the middle of the road. Even know it’s not my favorite mascara it’s a good drugstore pick. I’d totally repurchase and wear this for day-to-day makeup or layered with another mascara for night.

The Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette has 12 eye shadow shades that lean warm and have that “blush”/pinkish tone to most of them. The shadows are fabulous to a simple day look or a bit more of a sultry night look. I have brown eyes and still like to use this, but it’ll really shine on those of you with some green or blue in your eyes. The only shade I seemed to have an issue with is the darkest one (bottom row, first on the right). It’s very dry and works best when combined over another shade to amp up the color a bit. In the swatches I had to do about 10 passes to get the color to show up well for a swatch.

In the look below I used Maybelline Rose Riot Color Tattoo as a base. Using Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette I applied the light taupe shade (bottom row, third from left) all over the lid and through the crease. I applied the shimmery cream shade (top row, third from left) above the crease all the way up almost to the brow bone and also popped this shade at the inner corners of the eye. I used the plum sparkle shade (bottom row, first on the right) at the outer V and blended that in and also toward the crease. To finish up I put the ivory shimmer (top row, first on the left) right under the brow and blended and used the rose metallic shade (top row, first on the right) to smudge a bit of color under the lower lash line. The eye liner is Urban Decay Hustle 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil and the mascara is Maybelline Lash Sensational.

    MY FAVORITE PALLET IS THE BLUSH NUDES BUT NONE OF THE STORE’S HAVE IT. I WENT TO TARGET WAL-MART RITE AID. AN SO MANY OTHERS AND THERE SOLD OUT THE PEOPLE WHO RUNS THE DEPARTMENT SAID THEY ONLY SENT A COUPLE.

    I love their mascaras! Especially the lash stiletto because it gives length, volume without being clumpy and it separates the lashes really well, plus the wand is slim too so it doesn’t get messy when I use it on the lower lash line. I’m really excited about this giveaway because there’s a big possibility those products won’t be available in my country at all.

      by never buying another mascara i meant i won’t try any other brands mascara because i love this one so much , gives length and volume to my lashes ( of course if you pile it on it won’t look good but that is the case with every mascara . You have to apply in moderation )
