Getting smokey with NARS has never been easier with the launch of their latest eye kit, aptly named the NARSissist Smokey Eye Kit.

Inside is a small palette housing a trio of eyeshadows in Madrague I (left side of duo), Bali and Mekong. Accompanying the shades is a mini Via Veneto Larger Than Life® Eyeliner and a newly designed travel size Wide Contour Brush #43.

The palette has a trio of neutral shades to smoke out your eye as little or as much as you want to. With three shades and the term smokey maybe you don’t think you can do much, but you can do a day smoke (Madrague I), happy hour smoke (Bali) and night out smoke (Mekong) just by changing your lid color. The black liner works for all!

This set also includes travel sized versions of Via Veneto Larger Than Life Eyeliner and Wide Contour Brush #43. In the eye look way below I used the brush for Bali in the crease, but found it’s also nice for packing on the pigment to the lid (if you don’t mind a bit of fall-out). I love the NARS LTL Eyeliners, they’re always so smooth and easy to apply, but last all day.

The swatches below are (L-R) Madrague I (which blends in nicely with my skin tone), Bali, Mekong and Via Veneto.

For my EOTD I figured why not go as smokey as I wanna be? I primed the eye with NARS Smudge-Proof Eyeshadow base and then applied Via Veneto liner over the top lash line. Mekong eyeshadow is all over the lid. Bali is in the crease and blended up with Madrague I at the inner corners and also to to blend out the crease and highlight. The mascara is Urban Decay Perversion.

Also released (again!) with NARS Fall 2014 Gifting is the NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette which I have been enamored with since early this year. Will you be picking either of these palettes up?

The NARS NARSissist Smokey Eye Kit retails for $59.00 and is available at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and narscosmetics.com.

  1. Oh boy. I love the look of that trio. I only own one NARS product. A blush that I love like my own offspring. Methinks it is time to expand to eye shadow. Love your smokey eye. :)

    • Their liners are so fab. When I swatched them back when they first came out I was like meh, but they are AMAZING worn. That’s where they’re special. Also, funny story, I knew you could twist them up but I didn’t know the little sharpener came out the butt of it to get at the point and I tried to sharpen with a regular sharpener. Didn’t go so well ;)

  4. I’m not usually a smokey fan but I love everything about this palette!

  5. I think I have those 3 e/s shades separately. I’ll have to see if I can have a “happy” smoke. LOL

    • You should buy it ALSO ;) I need to move to Hawaii so we can play beauty. Notice how I didn’t say you should move here, mostly because I need to live on an island.

    • Thank you! The shadows are pretty big. I love that this came with a decent brush too. So many palettes out there don’t.

  8. That is such a versatile palette! Love it!
