My two kids couldn’t have more different tastes (no pun intended) in food if they tried. My daughter, age four, is very adventurous with food. She always wants what we’re having and some of her favorite foods are broccoli, Brussels sprouts and salsa (and no, I don’t cover them in cheese). My son, age seven, is a little bit pickier. It’s kid-friendly, ridiculously simple and has only a 10-minute prep time. All you need is some ground beef, chopped onion, Campbell’s Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. And, of course, the Tots.

After the fun and games of making faces with tots, it’s time for the casserole to hit the heat (or, go into the oven, as moms not so cool as me would say) for 25 minutes at 425 degrees. Take it out… Serve it up… We added cheese on top because what kid doesn’t like cheese on their tots?! This is also a great dish to go with any vegetable. I mixed in some peas with mine… the 4 year old followed suit… the 7 year old kept it separate. Hey, whatever works. You eat, I won’t complain.
