Picky Eaters Beware… Campbell’s Has a Delicious Trick Up Their Sleeve…

December 3, 2013

My two kids couldn’t have more different tastes (no pun intended) in food if they tried. My daughter, age four, is very adventurous with food. She always wants what we’re having and some of her favorite foods are broccoli, Brussels sprouts and salsa (and no, I don’t cover them in cheese). My son, age seven, is a little bit pickier. He’s down with things like pizza, chicken nuggets and meatloaf. Such a dude. I’m not much of a chef, and I find no real enjoyment in cooking anything elaborate. That being said, the fam’s gotta eat, so I’m always looking for easy things to throw together that are flavorful, taste good and reheat well. For more than 144 years, Campbell’s Soup Company has been making meals fun and delicious. Now, Campbell’s gives you a fresh way to delight your family (new, kid-friendly recipes like Mini Chicken Pot Pies, and fun ways for your kids to eat Tomato soup) and yourself with their recipe destination (which can be used with or without the ownership of kids) The Wisest Kid in the Whole World™. With the help of The Wisest Kid in the Whole World™,

Campbell’s soup is offering delicious recipes your kids won’t be able to refuse, making your life easier and their bellies full. From this website, I chose the Tater Topped Casserole. It’s kid-friendly, ridiculously simple and has only a 10-minute prep time. All you need is some ground beef, chopped onion, Campbell’s Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. And, of course, the Tots.

Yes, I just made a smiley face with tator tots. I’m not like a regular mom, I’m a cool mom.

After the fun and games of making faces with tots, it’s time for the casserole to hit the heat (or, go into the oven, as moms not so cool as me would say) for 25 minutes at 425 degrees. Take it out… Serve it up… IMG_3675We added cheese on top because what kid doesn’t like cheese on their tots?! This is also a great dish to go with any vegetable. I mixed in some peas with mine… the 4 year old followed suit… the 7 year old kept it separate. Hey, whatever works. You eat, I won’t complain.
