Holiday shopping for kids never gets any easier. In fact, it seems like every year it gets more difficult to find the perfect gift, especially for my daughter. She’s extremely picky without actually being picky and that means that mom (and by mom I mean Santa) needs to come up with some foolproof ideas for under the Christmas tree.
Justice
If you already have a little girl in your life chances are you know she loves Justice. This stripe pompom knit beanie is stylish, super soft and will keep her warm through out the cold winter months.
American Girl
Maybe this is a given, but you really can’t go wrong with an American Girl doll. My daughter has been after Julie Albright for years because she loves the colorful clothing and the long blonde hair that is perfect for styling. She loves that her and Julie both have blonde hair and are, in her opinion, the ultimate dynamic duo for traveling, playing games and hanging out.
Julie arrives with a book called “The Big Break” and her accessories, IMO, can’t be matched – especially the working Pinball Machine that your child can play themselves (while Julie cheers on, of course). We have a pinball machine in the basement and Lydia thinks it’s so awesome to be able to have a smaller sized one of her own right in her room. This one is just like a real one, even made with real metal and wood.
For the holidays a must-have accessory to pick up along with Julie is her Christmas Fireplace. Imagine getting your little one their first American Girl doll and being able to set it up along next to the fireplace with stockings, Christmas cards and even cookies and milk for Santa?! Paired with Julie’s Christmas Outfit of pink velvet this is the gift that will give your daughter a lifetime of memories.
Build-A-Bear
All Build-A-Bear furry friends are the perfect gifts for kids! They’re the softest of the soft, fluffiest friends out there. However in this house none are more fantastical than Snow Magical Glisten. This legendary reindeer arrives in her own gift set this year, complete with the Snowflake Reindeer Cape, Fuzzy Snowflake Bow and Pink Sequin Bow Flats.
Every Build-A-Bear is customizable with outfits, accessories, sounds (including your own voice) and even SCENTS!

Candlewick Press
We always love to give books at Christmas time. Reading is important to me because it builds knowledge as well as imagination. It’s important to make sure our daughters know that women are strong, especially women in politics.
Leading the Way: Women in Power from Candlewick Press shares the stories of more than 50 of the most influential women in American history including Jeanette Rankin, Shirley Chisholm, Sandra Day O’Connor and more. This book focuses on diversity, leadership and inspiration.
Jaaks
It truly doesn’t matter who you are or where you live…. it doesn’t matter the age. Your kid loves poop. It’s hilarious. Not real poop, of course, but definitely the chocolate kind. The Chocolate Poop Maker gives your kid a chance to laugh and giggle while they can be the top chef of turds. The chocolate is melted and then plunged down the toilet into a poop mold. Once frozen these treats solidify making it a tasty snack for all. Family fun time might like stinky, but it’s super tasty. 😉
If poop isn’t their thing (who even are you?!) maybe dinosaurs are. We had a great time playing with Gigantosaurus while his mouth opened, closed and made sounds. He even makes stomping noises! We shared this with her 4 & 2 year old cousins and they couldn’t get enough!
The above are just a few ideas of awesome ideas for the little girl in your life, or even the little boy! Each brand mentioned offers a ton of fabulous products in-store and online.
