We haven’t all forgotten about “Lipstick-gate” and not everyone is ready or even willing to forgive Jaclyn Hill for the way she treated her fans. Whether or not anyone is ready, Jaclyn Cosmetics is back with another makeup launch. No, it’s not lipsticks (thankfully). It’s an entire collection of highlighters.
Jaclyn Cosmetics Holiday Collection will release on 11/26/2019 at 9am PST at jaclyncosmetics.com. She’ll have individual highlighter products for sale in various finishes ranging from $24-$49, brushes ranging from $20-$24 plus bundles and duos ranging from $39-$120.
Even though I don’t often wear highlighter I’d have 100% bought the highlighter palette from her that she is releasing. The shades look beautiful and I love the packaging. But, since I will NOT be buying anything with Jaclyn’s name attached to it I wanted to compile a list of highlighter products that you can purchase if you’re either not in the financial position to buy Jaclyn’s makeup or don’t want to support her launch.
ELF Glow, Gleam, Beam ($7.00 on sale!) | Makeup Revolution Cheek Kit ($8.00) | Milani Stellar Lights ($8.99) | Colourpop Got Me Beaming ($18.00) | Cover FX Perfect Light ($21.00)| PUR Quick Pro Highlight Palette ($22.00 on sale!) | Sephora Illuminate ($28.00) | OFRA NikkieTutorials Highlighting Trio ($29.00) | Smashbox Spotlight ($35.00) | Beauty Bakerie Milk & Honey ($38.00) | MAC Hyper Real Glow ($39.50) | Anastasia Beverly Hills Sugar Glow Kit ($40.00) | Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette ($45.00) | HUDA Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette ($45.00)
Regarding the price point, it’s what I would have anticipated but it’s definitely not what would be considered affordable. As with the lipstick launch I love that she bundled some items and gave discounts. It’s a smart move business-wise because it’s something her fans will appreciate. She’s also extended her return policy from 30 days to 45 due to the holiday season.
This post proves there is no shortage of a good highlighter palette. You do have a ton of options both just below price point of Jaclyn Cosmetics and also A LOT cheaper.
Have I missed anything? Which highlighter is your fave?
