It’s an inferno! As in DISCO INFERNO! That name is perfect for the newly released NARS Studio 54 Inferno Eyeshadow Palette, thanks in large part to the shade Turn the Beat Around looking exactly like a disco ball twinkling brightly in the club lights.
The packaging is beautiful due to the fact that I’m partial to sparkly things and also red) and sized like the other NARS Eyeshadow Palettes of the same style (see an example here).
NARS states that this palette is full of shades with, “A new, high-shine formula adds instant glamour with intense shimmer, satin sheen and metallic effects in bronze to berry shades”.
Inside the NARS Studio 54 Inferno Eyeshadow Palette you’ll get 12 eye-catching, glittering shades in:
Keep On Dancing (satin cream), Let it Whip (shimmering beige), Rock Freak (matte rust), I’m So Excited (shimmering bronze), Do it Right (shimmering rose gold), Can You Feel It (metallic gold), Come to Me (red glitter), Shake Your Body (glitter cream), Shame (shimmering cocoa), Turn the Beat Around (multi-glitter), Wishing on a Star (purple glitter) and Love & Desire (shimmering black)
If you love a good, glitter eye look you’ll absolutely adore the NARS Studio 54 Inferno Eyeshadow Palette. Some of these shades wow’d me in ways I’d have never expected. Shake Your Body is my favorite of ALL of them. If I could take that shade and put it into every single eyeshadow palette known to man I totally would. It just gives this beautiful, overall wet look that is beyond beautiful.
The matte shades, though few, are perfect. Same goes with the metallic shades… soft, even and easy.
Glitter reigns supreme here and you’ll be able to tell from the swatch pic below that there are varying degrees of “glittery” making some more glittery than others. For example shades like Come to Me, Turn the Beat Around and Wishing on a Star will need to be handled with care. Packed on a sticky base and being mindful of fall-out. Shades like Can You Feel It and Shame are a little glittery and you could work with them without a sticky base, though they’ll give more of an impact with one.
This palette is beautiful and even though I don’t wear a lot of glitter I would have absolutely picked this up if it weren’t sent to me. I’ll use several shades on the daily and, like I said, Share Your Body will never leave my side. Until I hit pan and on that day I’ll probably die a thousand deaths.
