Recently SauceBox Cosmetics had a 40% off sale and I took that opportunity to grab a palette I’ve been dying to get my hands on – the all-matte Etude Eyeshadow Palette. The other day while swatching I realized how strikingly similar Etude is to the insanely expensive Natasha Denona Biba Eyeshadow Palette.

Price-wise SauceBox Etude retails for $45.00 but I purchased it on sale for $27.00 (40% off). Natasha Denona Biba retails for $129.00 and is not on sale. Currently there are LIMITED Etude Palettes for sale on the site for $20 (the boxes are very slightly damaged). You’re looking at over $100 in savings.
Below I’ve swatched the SauceBox Cosmetics Etude Eyeshadow Palette on it’s own. These swatches are done dry and on bare skin (no primers):
In the swatches below I’ve compared shades from SauceBox Etude and Natasha Denona Biba. You’ll be able to see that the shades aren’t exact, but I do feel that they’re close enough to say that if you bought Etude you’d be able to kill the Biba lemming – particularly if you’re really only in it for the mattes.
$20 is a steal. Supplies are extremely limited so if you want this I suggest you go for it. SauceBox is rebranding and product will be back in the Fall but as of publish date I don’t have the exact info. When I do have that info you’ll be the first to know!
