Yeahhhh…I know. It’s April and here I am just now posting about my La Vie en Rose March 2019 Boxycharm.

Sadly I got my March Boxycharm really, REALLY late. It wasn’t just me either. It seemed like Influencers got their boxes first (obviously, because they have to promote so that is normal), then the first round of shipments went out to regular subscribers.

Complaints started rolling in that people marked as Light/Medium were getting the darker CoverFX Face palette and vice versa.

I don’t have proof, but I think that Boxycharm halted shipments after the first round(s) went out because of the complaints. Imagine how much time it takes to open every.damn.box. Probably a lot more than you’re thinking. Personally, I’m okay with that because there is no way I’d be able to use the darker face palette and I’d rather have the right one vs. some extra “charms” to make up for it. 

BUT, it does really suck to get my box so late because even though I don’t get the PR anymore I do still like to share this with you guys since it’s such an awesome makeup & beauty subscription box of full sized products for only $21 a month. 

So, for the sake of keeping everything running, I’m still posting the March Boxycharm. April will be up shortly also lmao

what is boxycharm

Boxycharm is a monthly beauty subscription box filled with 5-6 luxury items, 4 of which will always be full-sized. The monthly cost of Boxycharm is $21 but if you subscribe for 3, 6, 9 or 12 months you’ll receive a slight discount on the monthly boxes (down to $19.25). Renewals are automatic but you can cancel at any time.

Each Boxycharm box has a minimum value of $100 and you’ll receive anything from makeup to skincare to beauty tools. With some products shades can vary though with other products all boxes will have them included.

CoverFX Perfector Face Palette ($45.00). I received my correct shade, which is Light/Medium.

Isn’t this what we were all wanting and waiting for? This travel-friendly palette is perfection in terms of tones. I’d have personally loved to see one less highlighter product and had a bronzer thrown in there instead, but overall I’m obsessed. Easy to use, blend and wears all day.

Everyone will receive this product, hopefully in their correct skin tone range.

Wander Beauty Lift Off Purifying & Brightening Peel Off Mask ($34.00). This mask is said to “instantly purify and replenish dull skin”. The mask itself is rose gold, dries quickly and peels off easily (make sure you use a thick coat for easier peeling).

MODA Brushes Powder & Soft Glow Kit ($29.99). This 2-piece brush kit features rose gold, tapered handles with super soft two-toned synthetic brush hair. Beautiful to look at and fantastic to use!

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick ($20.00). The shade I received is Monaco. 

A “one-step, full lip color that does not feather”. The shade is beautiful and I’m a huge fan of the OFRA formula. Boxycharm can keep these coming!

Appeal Cosmetics Liquid Eyeshadow ($21.00). The shade I received is Rose Gold.

A “highly pigmented liquid eyeshadow”. A beautiful gold tone with a multi-dimensional shimmer.

final thoughts

Was the box worth the money? YES!

As much as it sucked A LOT to get the box so late I’d rather have the right shades sent, especially when it was of the main product for this month. 

Overall I’m still loving that this box continues to contain products from highly trending brands as well as products I’ll get use out of.

The retail value of the entire March 2019 Boxycharm? $149.99! This boxes’ retail value is a LOT higher than last month’s box and I also think I’ll get more use out of the products included. IMO that retail value is well worth the $21 investment.
