Normally I’m not one to fall all over myself for a highlighter palette. I’m an oily girl and my body basically creates it’s own highlight. However the Urban Decay x Game of Thrones Mother of Dragons Highlight Palette is seriously making me reconsider my stance on that and even more so on out-of-the-box highlighter shades.

what is it
The Urban Decay x Game of Thrones Mother of Dragons Highlight Palette ($36.00) contains 3 NEW shades of Afterglow Highlighter in Drogon (frosted pink), Viserion (metallic golden nude) and Rhaegal (metallic bronze) for “a glow that will light up the Seven Kingdoms”.
Remember in the beginning when I said “out-of-the-box highlighter shades”? You were probably like… ummm those look pretty normal to me. For most people the Urban Decay x Game of Thrones Mother of Dragons Highlight Palette shades are going to fall into a normal highlight. On my skin tone Drogon is a more noticeable pink than I’d usually go for. BUT when I mix it with Viserion it becomes perfection. All three shades are beautiful enough to be worn as eyeshadows also.
I found the three shades in this highlighter palette to be pigmented, smooth and easy to blend out. The display of the palette itself is so gorgeous to look at that it makes me want to open it up and use it (very lightly at the corners because I cannot ruin the dragons egg design).
Oh, and the packaging represents multi-colored dragon scales with an interior mirror trimmed in holographic graphics. I’m obsessed.
The Urban Decay x Game of Thrones Mother of Dragons Highlight Palette is swatched below dry and on bare skin (no primers):
The Urban Decay Game of Thrones Collection will be available beginning on April 14, 2019 at urbandecay.com (the same day that the season 8 series finale will premiere on HBO).
All pieces of this collection are limited edition.
*editors note: Instead of putting every product into one post and flooding you guys out with pictures and swatches I’ll be doing each product individually with a roundup post at the end. I took a lot of pics to really do this collection justice and I think it’ll be easier for you to have them separated vs. being overwhelmed. I will also link all of the posts together once they’re live so if you bookmark this post you’ll be able to reference back to it and click to see any new posts.
