There is no doubt the NARS Multi-Use Glosses are beautiful to look at. But what are they for and how do we use them?
what is it
The NARS Multi-Use Glosses are touted as being perfect for creating special effect looks on the lips, eyes and cheeks. They can be worn alone or layered for endless high-shine, glossy combinations. Coconut Oil & Vitamin E soften and hydrate to make the formula creamy and comfortable.
To use these on the lips use a dab on the center of the bottom lip to make the lips look shiny without feathering. For the eyes use your fingertip to pat on the center of the lid for a subtile pop of shine. On the cheeks you can lightly pat the Multi-Use Gloss over the high-points of your cheekbones (avoid the temple and forehead) for a glossy highlight.
To use the NARS Multi-Use Glosses as an eyeliner make sure you line your eyes first then use a liner brush to apply the gloss overtop to add shimmer and shine.
Five shades are currently available in Star Babe (glittering white gold), First Time (shimmering pewter), Working Girl (metallic yellow gold), Redemption (soft rose gold) and Relentless (metallic rose).
The NARS Multi-Use Glosses are smooth, not sticky what-so-ever and comfortable. I’m obsessed.
I personally love to use them the most on the lips (because it’s the easiest) but First Time & Working girl do look stunning on the eyes. For me I’m not one to want a highlight or to mess with a shinier lid (my natural oils have made me jaded towards glow lol) but anyone who loves that dewy, wet look is going to need to get their hands on these glosses.
For the lips you won’t want to just apply a ton of product. NARS was very accurate in saying to just put a dab on the center of the bottom lip. I do this and use my fingertip to spread the gloss around on my lips.
After some wear-down time I can feel some glitter if I smoosh my lips together but I don’t find it to be off-putting. If you’re someone who doesn’t like this though, it’s worth mentioning… particularly if you’re like me and only into these for use on the lips.
All five of the NARS Multi-Use Glosses are swatched below on bare skin (no primers, one swipe using the applicator):
