If you’d have told me a year ago that I’d be lusting on a cool-toned palette with an electric pop of purple I’d tell you to hit the road (did you see what I did there?).
what is it
Each palette is “travel-ready” with finishes in matte as well as metallic. All 3 of the palettes also include a complementary, iridescent transformer shade.
This post will focus on Urban Decay Bailout, which is a cool-toned neutral palette with a pop of purple.
Eight (8 x 0.02 oz/ 0.8 g) shades are included in Skimp (soft cream demi-matte), Bailout (neutral nude peach matte), Faith (medium warm brown nude matte), Rebound (rich chocolate brown demi-matte), Chopper (copper with silver micro glitter), Double Up (deep brown sparkle), Pickup (pale lavender with pink micro-sparkle transformer) and Vice (deep eggplant shimmer).
The Urban Decay Bailout On The Run Mini Eyeshadow Palette is, surprisingly, my favorite of the three palettes.
The palette itself is just under the size of my hand and though it’s cardboard it’s sturdy. The inside features a generously sized mirror parallel to 8 eye shadows. It’s compact enough to be perfect for travel.
The mattes were really easy to work with (Skimp, Bailout, Faith, Rebound) and the metallics were as well (Chopper, Double Up).
Pickup is the transformer shade and absolutely needs to be used wet to get any sort of effect. Because this is a transformer shade you can wear it over-top of the other colors to morph them into something a little more “fun”.
Vice is a beautiful shade but I found it to be on the sheer side, but buildable. It also produced quite a bit of fallout even when using a firm shadow brush. I used this as part of my under-eye color, but it’s something to be considerate of as you’re doing your makeup.
Overall, I LOVE Urban Decay Bailout.
The Urban Decay Bailout On The Run Mini Eyeshadow Palette is swatched below dry and on bare skin (no primers):
