Nothing is more exciting than seeing one of your favorite people in the blogging world get a collab with a well known beauty brand.
When Rachel Anise (The Beauty Professor) messaged me to see if she could have an unnamed brand send over their collab I asked no questions and after screaming yes I congratulated her and then immediately tried to figure out who/what it would be.
Rachel and I share a love of a nude-ish lip (and it’s her fault I own so many luxury shades of nude!) so I was hoping it was something along those lines.
Turns out the Christian Audette x Beauty Professor Lipstick Collection was exactly the lipstick trio I was dreaming of! I basically couldn’t have designed anything better myself!
what is it
The Christian Audette x Beauty Professor Lipstick Collection is this duos first collab together (and hopefully not the last!) where Rachel was invited to create three custom lipstick shades:
Johannah | “A quintessential pinky nude cream with major color payoff…named after
my baby daughter, it, like she, is an integral part of my daily routine.”
Elle | “A universally flattering and buildable cool baby pink with a touch of luminosity.
The name has special significance for both my mom and daughter and thus is an
homage to women of all generations.”
Golightly | “The exact shade of opaque peachy beige with a satin finish that Audrey
Hepburn wears in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I’ve searched high and low for this hue for
years…what a joy to finally be able to recreate it.”
These three shades are meant to be worn alone or are also said to be beautiful mixed together.
review
As much as I love Rachel I would tell you if I thought these lipsticks were a pass. They are most definitely NOT a pass.
First of all, the packaging is TO DIE FOR. Super sleek, squared tubes house three of the prettiest shades of lipstick ever. All three being colors that you absolutely must have in your collection.
Each shade is evenly pigmented, applies easily and wears well. While the colors don’t last all day they’re easy to reapply because the formula is so comfortable. I love that even though they’re pigmented they still feel and look like they’re light. These shades are top-notch, especially Johanna, which is my personal favorite of the three.
These lipstick shades do, in fact, layer beautifully. My favorite way to do it is by layering Johannah over-top of the other two colors to tone them down to my more nude-lip loving heart. Click here to see me wearing Johannah over Elle!
This is my first go-round using anything from the Christian Audette line and if the rest of the products are like the lipstick formula I will definitely be trying out a lot more in the future!

These are gorgeous. I wish they were sold separately but I’m sure I will get them anyway. The first and last are my favorites.
Brooke says
Hopefully they’ll do them separately in the future! I think the shades went well overall and people were impressed. Fingers crossed!
