This Summer I did a full review on whether or not the new IT Cosmetics CC+ Oil-Free Matte Foundation works well with super oily, acne-prone skin. You can find that here.
Now I have every currently released shade in my possession and you can hopefully gauge by my swatches below what your color match might be.
For reference, over Summer the Light shade matched me perfectly. Now that my tan is fading I’m matching more with the Light Medium shade – which is completely bizarre because for all intents and purposes it should be darker.
As stated in my previous review the IT Cosmetics CC+ Oil-Free Matte Foundation formula seems to run a little darker than what I’m used to for this brand, and now I’m adding that the shades also seem to be a bit out of order (yes, I double checked my own swatches and pics).
I’m not sure if things were altered because they are beginning to offer more of a wider range of shades or if it’s the actual oil-free formula causing the change. Regardless, it’s important to note that if, like me, you’re used to being “Light” you might want to go a little lighter.
When you’re swatching these in person blend them out on your arm, face, wherever and give the formula a chance to dry down and set to get the true, finished shade.
The IT Cosmetics CC+ Oil-Free Matte Foundation retails for $38.00. You can pick it up now exclusively at Sephora and itcosmetics.com. Keep your eyes open for it at ULTA Beauty and QVC, as both of those retailers tend to carry quite a bit of product from this brand.
With currently only 12 shades available within the IT Cosmetics CC+ Oil-Free Matte Foundation range I hope they’ll add more in across the spectrum like they’re doing with their cult-favorite and original IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer, which is now available here in 48 shades!
With the new, very broad shade selection of the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer comes new packaging but still the same tried and true formula. Shades 11.0 Light Nude, 11.5 Light Beige and 13.0 Light Natural are swatched below (with 13.0 Light Natural being my current best match).
BOTH of these products are best purchased in person where you can swatch and test on your skin. If you’re not able to do that I hope my own swatches and this post were helpful to you when making your choices.
What do you think of the new launches from IT Cosmetics? What would you like to see more of from them in the future?
That under eye concealer looks like something I might need!
Oh wow they look amazing
