You can never have enough bronzing makeup. It doesn’t matter the season, a good bronze just gives off a healthy look. Personally, I’m thankful for it because I don’t do the whole “tanning” thing anymore… nowadays we just know too much about how bad it is. But, because I miss that bronze glow I’m happy to use makeup to fake it.

The new Sephora Exclusive NARS Atomic Blonde Eye and Cheek Palette is the perfect addition to my arsenal of adding a fake, sunkissed vibe into my life.

what is it

The NARS Atomic Blonde Eye and Cheek Palette is said to be a “multi-use palette for smoldering eye and cheek looks”.

Six “high-impact, lust-worthy gold, bronze and copper shades” are included in finishes ranging from “buttery shimmers to lustrous satins and glittering metallics”.

4 x Eyeshadows in Icon (golden bronze shimmer – limited edition), Isolde II (shimmering copper), Kink (metallic warm copper – limited edition) and Galapagos (bitter chocolate infused with gold).

1 x Highlighting Powder in Last Call (shimmering warm gold – limited edition)

1 x Bronzing Powder in Unleashed (diffused brown – limited edition)

Though it doesn’t seem impactful the NARS Atomic Blonde Eye and Cheek Palette is noteworthy and completely stunning.

Overall the quality of the palette is fabulous. I love the rust colored design on the front of the packaging as well as the full sized mirror on the inside. The construction of the palette has a good heft to it and I feel the shades inside would be safe while traveling.

The eye and cheek colors are lovely. They apply nicely, blend well and wear all day.

I didn’t experience any fallout while using the shades which made me happy. I swear I remember using the older formula of Galapagos and I got major fallout – even with a firm brush. With this version I didn’t.

Kink is a little temperamental but if you apply it with your finger or pack it on wet using a brush over a sticky base you’ll be fine.

My only gripe is that the bronzer looks deep but applies light. I personally don’t like to use anything with a major sheen to bronze all over with, but it paired well with my HG Bronzer from Too Faced.

The highlighter was subtle which is what I personally love. I’m so oily I don’t really need anything more than subtle, as beautiful as they usually are. If you’re into something blinding you might want to layer the highlight shade or perhaps mix it with Icon to amplify it more and maybe also deepen the tone some.

Only some of the shades are in the permanent collection (Isolde II & Galapagos) but there is definitely a chance you’ll have similar shades to all of these in your collection. I love having them all in one place and find that they all work together beautifully.
