When I think of Karity I think of that Facebook famous brand with the majorly hyped up, neon eyeshadow shades. Be still, my 80’s loving heart. For part of last year that I couldn’t even go on social media without seeing one of their ads pop up.
I’d have friends and readers ask what I thought of the brand, how the products performed, have you tried this, etc. I’m always a little wary of the ads I see pop up on Facebook so I never had… until now.
what is it
The neon eyeshadow is said to be a highly-pigmented matte eyeshadow palette with a wide range of colors. A 100% cruelty free rainbow palette. For every eyeshadow palette you buy Karity will donate one meal to an animal in need.
First off the packaging. It’s a simple flat black cardboard casing with blue and white accents. The inside boasts 21 matte eyeshadow shades in, as they stated, a wide range of highly pigmented colors. I LOVE that the names of the shades are listed right underneath the corresponding shadow. There is no mirror.
Of course they swatch nicely but on the eye they’re even better. I had no issues whatsoever with applying, blending and creating looks. Every shade lasted all day over an eyeshadow primer.
One of the most impressive things about this palette is how vivid the shadows stayed when blending out and they stayed that way all day long. There was no fading of pigment regardless of wear time.
Some shades will be slightly staining to the eye (even with a primer underneath). For me those shades were Alexi, Enchant, NSFW, Lumbia, Ego, Vegas, Phantom and Medusa. The staining is helped some when using an eyeshadow primer but there will still be a slight tint leftover after you remove your makeup.
This palette is AMAZING and SO AFFORDABLE. I’m definitely interested in owning and sharing more from Karity!
The Karity 21 Matte Eyeshadow Palette is swatched below dry and on bare skin (no primers):
