Aren’t we all forever looking for the perfect multi-tasking makeup product if not always a next level, holy grail concealer? From the hype the Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer appears to be all that and more.
what is it
The Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer is described as a “hydrating, buildable, multi-tasking concealer” that “masks imperfections, smooths and sculpts skin for natural-looking coverage”.
There is an included mini-pamphlet that gives tips and shows you how to use this product to conceal as well as to contour/highlight.
There are 20 shades available from Swan (which is the fairest neutral) to Cocoa (which is the deepest neutral).
review
My under eye circles are pretty dark and pretty dry, which always surprises me because I’m so very oily. I’m not sure if that came with age or how that works, but it sounds about right. I combat it by using the heck out of under eye creams twice a day as well as a layer of Dior Apricot Fix It 2-in-1 Prime & Color Correct before applying my makeup.
For my pros the Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer does a great job at applying evenly & easily blending out after I apply it (I use a beautyblender). When used with the Dior Fix It my dark circles are virtually gone.
I’m not much for using a product like this to contour or highlight but it did a wonderful job of that when I tried it. Everything was even, blended and lasted all day.
I LOVE the applicator because it’s large enough to only need to dip the product in once for BOTH eyes and it easily gets at the areas I need it to. You can’t be super precise with it but for the way I do my makeup it works well for me.
For a (rather big) con I personally do not find this concealer to be hydrating to my under eyes. I wouldn’t call it particularly drying but it sinks into the creases under my eye even with pressing a loose setting powder in (aka baking).
If you have under eyes that aren’t in major need of hydration you’re looking for that happy medium between Shape Tape & All Nighter then you’ll love the Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer. I think I’m a little too dry in that area to make it work for that purpose.
That being said I LOVE this as a foundation. Is that weird? I’ve never tried the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation but if it’s anything like this sign me up. It feels light and covers just enough so that it looks like my skin but obviously much better.
Comparison wise (in my experience) Tarte Shape Tape is much less drying and Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Full Coverage is much more drying.
