NARS is changing things up a bit with their eyeshadow game… we finally have quads.
New to Fall 2018 are the NARS Mojave & Singapore Quad Eyeshadow Palettes. With “luxurious texture” and “intense color” these quads contain new shades in buttery mattes, lustrous satins and multi-dimensional glitters.

review
I’m really excited to see that NARS has finally released eyeshadow quads. IMO it’s a long time coming.
The packaging of these is the black and white rubbery coated plastic with a snap closure. Inside the top has a full size mirror parallel to the four eyeshadow shades.
Mojave Quad Eyeshadow (shimmering rose, warm matte brown, shimmering golden brown, cream w/ pearl sheen)
The shimmering satin formula is to die for and I love it to death. So even and smooth!
While it didn’t swatch nicely the matte brown was beautiful on the eye and worked well in terms of application and blending.
For the sparkling shadow shades I recommend using your finger to apply to get the most impact. Generally I like to use a flat, damp brush for shades like this but with this formula the finger is best. When applied like that the sparkle gave a beautiful, pigmented impact.
I experienced no fall-out with these eyeshadow shades and they wore well all day over an eyeshadow primer.
Singapore (sparkling pale gold, sparkling metallic brass, sparkling antiquated bronze, shimmering deep rust red)
Each eyeshadow shade in the quad is 0.04 oz. which is the same amount of shadow that you’re getting in the still available (as of this post) NARS NARSissist Wanted Eyeshadow Palette. The difference being that for $7 more you’re getting 12 of those eye shadows in the Wanted Palette vs 4 eye shadows in the quad.
Maybe I’m mis-interpreting that (the outer box packaging was not shipped to me and there is currently very little info online), but that makes for a really pricey eyeshadow quad.
All of that being said I do like both of these palettes and think that overall the quality is there, I’m just surprised at how pricey they are. Generally NARS is high for eyeshadows (currently $36 for a duo and $26 for a single) but when I size compared the quad to the Wanted Palette I was definitely shocked.
