If you had the chance to check out my first post on the Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Glow Makeup Collection then you already know that I AM OBSESSED with the Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Glow Highlighter ($10.99). But probably not in the way you’d imagine, making it the perfect fit for my Drugstore Hidden Gem series!
what is it
The Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Glow Highlighter is marketed as a “blendable cream formula that delivers a next-level glow” & is meant to to apply along the highpoints of your face (cheekbones, brow bone, nose and cupids bow).
Six shades are available in (1) Moonbeam, (2) Starshine, (3) Candlelit, (4) Sunkissed, (5) Sundown and (6) Daybreak.
As you may remember I didn’t much like the Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Glow Highlighter as an actual highlighter. But where it shines is as an eyeshadow base. I’m not even kidding you. My lids are as oily as they could ever get and this product wears like iron all day long, amps up every look and even makes my eye shadow shades POP off of my face.
This formula stands out as an eyeshadow and as a base. I can’t name one other product at the drugstore that I like MORE as an eyeshadow base… meaning yes I like it more than the Maybelline ColorTattoos & L’Oreal Infallible 24hr Eye Shadow – and you guys know those are good. If Covergirl could make me some mattes that perform just as well I may actually sing opera sounds.
All 6 shades of the Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Glow Highlighter are swatched below dry and on bare skin (no primers):
