Every once in awhile you find a drugstore product that completely knocks you on your behind. Because of that I’m starting a new series that I’d like to post to several times a month, if possible. Drugstore beauty has really been kicking all the “A” lately so it shouldn’t be that hard, right?! For the first post I have to put the focus on Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lip Liner ($7.99).
what is it?
The Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lip Liners are said to have a “smooth, creamy formula that gives weightless definition, glides on comfortably and stays put”. These liners are infused with Vitamin E to nourish lips while the “intense color pigments” allow you to easily define and fill in your lip color. Each liner has a build in sharpener to keep the tip pointed even on-the-go.
Eight shades are available in Nude, Beige, Toffee, Rose, Fuchsia, Cherry, Violet and Plum.
review
Obviously the title and opening paragraph are huge spoilers but the Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lip Liner shades are all freaking amazing. They’re smooth, incredibly pigmented and last just as long as the Kat Von D Everlasting Lip Liners that I’m also obsessed with. If Flower Beauty could come out with more shades I bet I could totally dupe colors between the two brands. The formula feels similar to me, they’re both cruelty free, they layer well and have the same longevity.
My favorite of all eight shades is Nude because I can literally wear it with every single one of my favorite lip colors. Though they’re not both drugstore products my current favorite, go-to lip is Flower Beauty Nude Petal Pout Lip Liner and IT Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Serum (currently only available in the kit). It feels amazing and it’s the perfect shade combo for me!

Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lip Liner retails for $7.99 and can be purchased at ULTA Beauty & Walmart.
I think I may just have to head out to Ulta! I agree with you on the Nude shade – looks perfect for me. I look forward to more of your drugstore brand posts. Many of them fall under the same parent companies as some of the higher end brands and some formulations are probably close.
I’ve been looking for that perfect drugstore shade to replace the pricey Charlotte Tilbury I love and Nude is totally it PLUS it stays on better. KVD doesn’t have a similar one but the formula is just as good IMO. This is definitely one that requires multiple backups!
